Overview

The purpose of this little book is to point out some of the glaring inconsistencies in the theory of uniformitarianism, of which Charles Darwin’s theory of the survival of the fittest and the gradual evolutionary changes over vast periods of time are central themes. Another purpose is to identify some of the outstanding evidences that support the theory of catastrophism, which claims that catastrophic events have been responsible for the earth’s present configuration, consistent with biblical accounts. Our objective in publishing this book is to help today’s youth, and other decisive thinkers, develop a critical eye regarding the theories of the human race, and to see them for what they are--merely theories and not absolute truth. Also, it is our hope that the material presented herein will provide a basis for the increased understanding of, and faith in, the Holy Scriptures and in the pronouncements of the prophets of God, both ancient and modern.

Gorton establishes indisputable evidence of earth's cataclysmic history and disputes the theories of a universe created by chance. He offers scientific and religious support of the Christian concepts of the creation and exposes the fallacious concepts of Uniformitarianism, including the theory of evolution. The book debunks science as absolute truth and restores faith and confidence in Biblical principles.
