    Demonly AMAZING!!!!!!

This is the best book ever! If u like long stories about fiery power beyond human imagination, this a great book for u. I think u will enjoy this thourghly. It's about a girl with something like super healing who is captured by Bane, a human who thinks he was born in the Underworld and his father Lord of the Dead. The girl,(whose name is Mira,) wants to help him because whenever he uses his super human strength he gets huge headaches. I don't want to give any more away.....

    good book.

It did not go to fast, or to slow. The pace was good and so was the plot. Not as much romance as i thought but the plot made up for it. It was a little graphic, probably more then what people would like. But overall it was a good book and a good read. Reading it would not be a wast of time.

    Cover

I havent read this book but honestly could the covver look any more cheesy? I am sure that this is no reflection on the quality of the book and do not wish to detract from its literary worth

To the person whose headline is o

Naive heroines are the best ... you think this book is long try reading the Deathly hallows or les misseribles.... pointless i'll give u pointless (the majority of todays singers) but heres the point of the book to entertain the population and to put money in the author the publisher the printing company and Barnes & Noble employees and owner(s) another pointless thing was ur post so try to remember what ur taught in preschool if ya dont got nothing nice to say dont say anything at all ( and dont do what id do and keep on then say i didnt say"anything at all")

Contrary to all the other reviews, this book is not at all well written. Its pointless and drags on and on about the same issues until it becomes so repetitive and dull that I cant stomach any more. That the demon lord even bothers to go out of his way to save her even when he has already been told that she will be his downfall astounds me. Hes supposed to be evil right? Any real evil person wouldnt go to so much trouble to repeatidly save the life of another, espcelly her. Its completly unrealistic.

Couldn't read it - too dark

I could not read this book - it was too dark for me. I loved the other series - The Queen's Blade. I devoured each book in the main series, but this book started out too dark. I deleted it from my reader.

    Well-written

~things i liked: how the main characters contrasted nicely what with one being the worst of the worst and the other the best of the best. The plot and how the settings were so descriptive you could feel u were actually there
~things i didnt like: how some chapters seemed to drag on and on with little or no action.. uh and i thibk thats it for what i didnt like
Since this book is free and around 700+ pages i dont see any harm in getting it. Who knows? You might even like it ;)
The sequel is probly gonna be better cause more bane and mirra time ( if you havent read it ignore what i just said)

    Loved This Series

A great read. Waiting for the next book. T. C. Southwell is one of the great sci-fi writers of our time. I have enjoyed this series as well as her Broken World series. She is equal to Terry Brooks and is out ranked only by Robert Jordan in creating new and different worlds for us to enjoy. I read the two prequills first, even though the author recommend reading the series first. The story line was not a problem for me so I am not sure why she would recommend this. Just read. More sci-fi fans will enjoy both of these series than not! Sanna

    3 1/2 stars

3 1/2 stars - this book is holds your attention with story line, action and suspence.
The negative parts of this book, the age of the heroine only 16 yrs and she is expected to win over a Demon Lord, that is human raised by the Demon overlord of the underworld. His purpose to destroy the 7 wards that bind the Demon overlord to the underworld. It would be a little more feasible if she was a few years older. The Demon Lord was in his twenties and it is difficult to believe he would fall for jail bait, i think the herione should of been a little closer in age to him. Also she takes the beatings he gives her and threats of death & torture and does not get angry or fight back. She loves him and hopes to make him realize that the Overlord is using him. It became tedious and unbelievable. It would of been a better story if she had some back bone and stood up to him instead of mopping. It would of made the story a lot more interesting. After while you felt no sympathy for her and i wanted to kick her in the butt and tell her to grow a pair of brass overies, not to be pushed around so easily and stop whinning and proclaiming her forgiveness for being beaten and later her love for him. I would of enjoyed this story a lot more if it didnot remind of women being battered by their male partners and them running back to them forgiving & making excusess for their behavior and proclaiming their love for them. This story reaked of domestic violence behavior. It was a turn off, i would be a better story if she stood up to him and fought back.
Sometimes the story slows up and becomes boring.
I enjoyed the story and thinking of continuing to read the series, hoping it will pick up the pace. Also hoping the herione grows a pair and stands up to everyone especially the demon lord and the demon overlord. If she continues to be whimpy i will discontinue reading the series for that was the largest part of the story that turned me off about it.
It is an okay book, little bit of action, good story line, just slows up in different parts of the story. It took me a little longer to read than normal.

Could not put this book down.  The characters of Bane and Mirra

Could not put this book down.  The characters of Bane and Mirra are so real!  You feel all of the emotions.  One of my favorite parts is
when Bane falls in love with Mirra.  Their love goes deep, REAL deep.  I've read all eight books and can't wait for the next!  Maybe by that
I will have stopped hyperventilating!  They are ALL EXCELLENT reads!  Keep up the good work!
