“Demon's Curse goes straight to the keeper shelf, and I'll make a place beside it for the sequels. One luscious, well told story.”--Grace Burrowes, New York Times bestselling author

I'm not someone who reads a lot of this genre, but found this to be an enjoyable and engaging story. Ms. Egan is an excellent writer who crafted a suspenseful plot with well-developed and interesting characters. Look forward to the next in the series.
"With a historical setting, the first installment in this shifter series by Alexa Egan was absolutely fascinating! I love that there are not only shifters, but fey as well. I love that she has painted a brilliant world with an unforgettable cast of characters. I love the intense suspense and the beautiful romance. I love the extremely steamy and sexy scenes between our hero and heroine. Bianca and Mac are the two main characters in the story. Bianca is strong, confident and determined. Mac is funny, sexy (he’s a panther… hello!), protective and sweet. Their romance is red hot and has just enough drama to keep you hoping they find their HEA. Some of the secondary characters in the book are wonderful, and I sincerely hope that they find their way into future books with their own journeys to happiness. Paranormal fans out there do yourselves a huge favor and pick this up. I promise, you will not be disappointed! Reviewed by Marie for Cocktails and Books
This book grabbed me from the first pages. The action never let's up and the plot will both suck you in and drive you crazy with yummies. This book has so many creatures. From shifters to fey this book had it all. "*I received a copy of this book for free to review, this in no way influenced my review, all opinions are 100% honest and my own."
Demon’s curse written by Alexa Egan is her debut book. Four comrades at arms have to clean up the mess, the mess only one of them made, but with his death two years later they find that they will pay, and pay dearly. He was protecting their clans, their people from an ancient enemy, but it cost the four more than they ever planned. They are cursed, now clan-less, now broken from all they hold dear. They are Cursed to transform against their will breaking all bonds of nature, of their goddess, tortured monthly being stuck between. Adam is now dead and Mac is the only one wanting to solve the mystery or so he thinks until he meets her. An actress, an ice woman, from America, haughtily beautiful, intelligent, and full of strength, he was not prepared to face her, to love her. Wow what a great beginning, and an intrigue to read. This book opens a whole new world, and I will patiently wait for the sequel Shadow’s curse.
An interesting plot and a passionate love affair weave together to make a story that is definitely a page-turner. Shapeshifters and Fae are mortal enemies. Four Imnada (shapeshifters) have been cursed by one, a curse that forces a shift as the sun sets taking away their choice and their freedom until the sun rises. Bianca is a human woman who has sworn off entanglements with men after her abusive husband dies. Bianca and Mac meet at the burial of a mutual friend, though Bianca has no clue that her dead friend was a shifter. Mac investigates his friend's death and the mysterious woman who shows up to pay last respects. They both want to solve a murder but they are also drawn to each other, though both obviously fight the attraction. Mac comes to see the underlying depth to Bianca's character; that she hides from the world under her "Ice Queen" visage. He aids her in dealing with her nightmares and she saves him from the evil plot of a female Fae who wants to kill the four shifters that her father cursed before his death. Their adventure takes them in and out of London, as they search for a way to break the curse and catch a killer. He almost loses her when he isn't careful with what he says to a friend and she almost loses him to the evil machinations of the female Fae and to the cure for the curse. It was an enjoyable read. It had compelling characters, an entertaining plot and conflict, and a believable villain. It had enough emotional tension and passion to keep me turning the page till the very end.
Didn't like this book, it wasn't all what I was expecting. The story was to long and drawn out.
