I usually read mysteries (Patricia Cornwall) and urban fantasy (Jennifer Estep, Kim Harrison, Lillith St. Crow, Kelly Armstrong). I got this book on a whim and quickly became hooked on a guilty pleasure. The characters are engaging and the plots loop people into each others lives smoothly through unexpected connections. The events and relationships build quickly - almost in a Harlequin Romance style.

I was very happy with the denver cereal series. Both Denver Cereal and The Fey series have common characters I highly recommend reading both of the series!

This story was a fun read from the very beginning. I could not wait to read what would happen next. I was really drawn into the characters and their lives.

I'm really surprised that this book has such a high rating. I literally read 100's of romance books a year and this is the worst read. The story ha no depth, there are so many missing links with the characters, their personalities ,their motivations.Every couple of pages the characters were on a completely different place, and I couldn't figure out why or how they got here. I usually am not a reviewer, let alone a negative reviewer but I had to with this book.

Amateurish, sappy nonsense. It was disorganized. The characters were unbelievable & the story a waste of time. Editing wasn't very good, either. The only thing good about it was that it was free!

Reading this 620 page book was a waste of time. It jumps around from one character and situation to another with no introduction to the new characters. I kept reading, thinking it would get better, but it didn't. The story is unbelievable. Most of them are instantly in love with their "soul mates" who are taking them from despair to a fairy tale life. Then you find out it doesn't end, after 600+ pages. It is an ongoing series. I won't waste any more time on this story line or series. JBH

So i originally pick up this novel because it was one free and two baised in Denver. I can honestly say after spending the last 3 hours reading it I am absolutely lost. Let's start from the beginning. At first it was semi clear you get thee picture she's out for revenge after her cheating scumbag of a husband divorces her for a rich girl. Then the author throws a whirlwind of characters at you and you're stuck trying to sort out whose who. But that's not all, I've spent a better part of my three hours just trying to figure out whose narrating. It honestly jumps from one character to the next you don't ever get to know any of the characters especially Jill and Jake. I didnt even finish this novel i got somewhere in the 400 page range and gave up. It just didn't hold my attention, the story line was too predictable and the parts the author tried to tie in some suspense wasn't even suspenseful.

Love this authors books and this leaves nothing lacking in anyway. Story of family, greed, revenge and even a little supernatural. I feel it's a must if you're as much a Claudia Hall Christian fan as I am. If you aren't you will be. :)

Not sure how this book is in Christian fiction. It certainly isnt Christian. Cuss words and poor writing.

I have to wonder why I finished it. Not very realistic.

Amateurish writing spoils what could be an entertaining story. The characters behave in utterly unbelievable and inconsistent ways. The story lurches along in a rushed fashion with gaping holes where good writing should be. I almost always finish a book once I start, but after several chapters of trite nonsense I decided not to waste my time - there are plenty of other great books out there to be read. Even for a freebie, this was disappointing.
