This series is like potato chips - I couldn't stop reading

I usually read mysteries (Patricia Cornwall) and urban fantasy (Jennifer Estep, Kim Harrison, Lillith St. Crow, Kelly Armstrong). I got this book on a whim and quickly became hooked on a guilty pleasure.

The characters are engaging and the plots loop people into each others lives smoothly through unexpected connections. The events and relationships build quickly - almost in a Harlequin Romance style.

    Highly recommend

This story was a fun read from the very beginning. I could not wait to read what would happen next. I was really drawn into the characters and their lives.

    Pathetic Writing at Best

This was one of the most disjointed, poorly written books I've ever come across. And as for as being under "Christian" literature, I don't know many Christians who use the words this one contained. I can overlook the bad words and block them out; however, bad writing is something else. This is a prime example of pathetic writing.
I don't think I paid much for it for my Nook. Whatever I paid, I was overcharged to say the least! I have to provide a customer star rating. I can't put "no star" so I am going with one star. Don't be misled.

I'm really surprised that this book has such a high rating. I literally read 100's of romance books a year and this is the worst read. The story ha no depth, there are so many missing links with the characters, their personalities ,their motivations.Every couple of pages the characters were on a completely different place, and I couldn't figure out why or how they got here. I usually am not a reviewer, let alone a negative reviewer but I had to with this book.

I don't understand why anyone would give this a good review.

Amateurish, sappy nonsense. It was disorganized. The characters were unbelievable & the story a waste of time. Editing wasn't very good, either. The only thing good about it was that it was free!

    I think you'll love it

Love this authors books and this leaves nothing lacking in anyway. Story of family, greed, revenge and even a little supernatural. I feel it's a must if you're as much a Claudia Hall Christian fan as I am. If you aren't you will be. :)

    Get Your Bowl and Milk

Stock up on your favorite cereal and dive into this serial. This is by far one one of my top serial suggested readings. I have read the first four in under a month. Just bought number five!

Amateurish writing spoils what could be an entertaining story.

Amateurish writing spoils what could be an entertaining story. The characters behave in utterly unbelievable and inconsistent ways. The story lurches along in a rushed fashion with gaping holes where good writing should be. I almost always finish a book once I start, but after several chapters of trite nonsense I decided not to waste my time - there are plenty of other great books out there to be read. Even for a freebie, this was disappointing.
