Overview

That ten million Americans are affected by depression every year?
That more women than men suffer from depression?
Unfortunately many people with depression either go undiagnosed or misdiagnosed due to a lack of knowledge. This is scary because for the depressed person life can become a living hell leading to serious consequences.
Taking the first step
The first step is discovering if you do suffer from depression. The next step is understanding what depression is all about and how to deal with it.
Most information about depression is written in technical terms and unless you are a trained therapist you will need a medical dictionary to decipher the content.
What's really needed is a guide that is easy to read and understand. That's where "DEPRESSION A Misunderstood DISEASE" comes in. It is unlike anything else out there that discusses depression.
It is easy to digest and understand. But most importantly it gives you answers!

    ......

Is it wrong for me wish I wasn't here? No one cares. Some people say they do but deep down I know they don't give a fu.ck whether I live or not. There are people similar to my feelings but never exactly the same. I've felt this way since the fifth grade. I still have the scars emotionally and physically. My parents don't even like me. No one likes me. This might sound hard to believe now that it's almost everyone's excuse but through elementary school I was always picked last. I changed to an art school a few years later so I couldn't have the 'lasted picked' problem. This has been somewhat easier. When you go to an arts school there's a whole new definition of popular. I wasn't a dancer, artist, musician, actress, or even a singer. But i can try. Though it's really hard to be what you are not. I do get complements on what i do after a while. But i know they just feel bad for me. Just when i think that i have gained friends they ditch me, make fun of me, tell me to go hang out with someone else, or straight out tell me it was a dare to pretend to befriend me. I know this because each and every single one of those things happened to me THIS school year. Go ahead and feel bad for me i don't even care anymore. All i know is that my life cannot get any worse then it already is. The best part of being at the bottom is that there is no where to go but up. -Sydney Mae

I dont even know. But i know how you feel. I got diagnosed with depression and some other disorder, but i feel you. I almost did it. Got as close to death as could be. I swallowed the pills, then my parents found out a few minutes later and got my stomach pumped. I was so close. So close. But i dont know. People dont really like me. Im not cool at all, and am now known as a pothead at school.
