Meet the Author

I'm Mark, founder of Smashwords. Our mission is simple: we want to create the world's single best ebook publishing and distribution platform for our indie authors, publishers, literary agents and retailers.I'm co-author with my wife of Boob Tube, a novel that explores the wild and wacky world of Hollywood celebrity. I also wrote the Smashwords Book Marketing Guide (how to market any book for free), the Smashwords Style Guide (how to format, produce and publish an ebook) and The 10-Minute PR Checklist (helps entrepreneurs and business managers think more strategically about public relations. It's not written for authors, though some authors find it valuable.).When I'm not writing or working on Smashwords, I enjoy gardening, traveling and hiking tall mountains, the tallest of which has been Mt. Kilimanjaro.Write me at first initial second initial at you know where dot com (though please direct all support inquires to the "comments/questions" link you'll find on any Smashwords page).

    Shadowpaw

Her bright orange eyes shot fire and worry and i watched ss her whiskers trembled at the sight of my bruises. "Great..." i mumbled. I knew her seeing me like this would break any hope of me gaining hertrust...trust that we could actually win. I promised her that we would have victory: our entire clan would be free again from the threat of any othrs who dare cross us. She meowed softly to herself words of comfort and remained calm... calmer than all the others i used to partner up with. I mustered up a weak laugh and replied, " i was right about you. Her head circled up and she wrinkled her nose in confusion. "What do you mean..."she mewed softly again. I limped over to her lifting my broken paw from the ground and finally meting face to face with her. I tried not to, but her unawareness of her strength was just far too fetching and i had to smile. "Youre a tough one..."

    Twilightpaw

"Okay" she mewed. Twilightpaw saw a magpie, picking at its feathers. She climbed the tree, then wallked silently towards it. Then, she shot out a paw and snapped its neck, killing it. Sunpaw looked around, "Im ready" she meowed.

Blossompaw padded in, followed by her siblings. She was trembeling slightly while joltpaw and strongpaw looked about to burst with excitment.

She tried again and was slightly more balanced. However, it still looked akward. "Im not that good at this," she muttered, not meeting his eyes.
