Andrew or Andreas Thomas was born about in the Netherlands. He married Mary Agnes sometime around 1740. Andrew and Mary Agnes arrived in South Carolina by 1752 with six year old George. There is a Andrew Thomas found on the Revolutionary War list of 1786 which may have been him or possibly his son Andrew Thomas, Jr. By 1820, some of his descendants were in Shelby County, Alabama. Others settled in Perry County, Alabama.

Donna was a teacher in the Alabama Public School System for almost twenty years. When she retired, she found time to follow her passion for history, genealogy and writing. The website has evolved over time to become a reunion of family and friends, each contributing a slice of their experience and history.
