Overview

One of the easiest ways to change the look of a room is with new window treatments. But which style or color will flatter your windows? Design Ideas for Windows presents hundreds of ideas that explain how to choose the right treatment for your needs. There is lots of helpful advice about the care and maintenance of various materials, installation tips, and easy solutions for difficult-to-dress windows. The latest title in the popular "Design Ideas" series, the book features hundreds of color photographs and special advice for choosing, installing, and caring for window treatments. Included are suggestions for pairing various types of treatments and materials with particular situations and needs, as well as coordinating with a room's overall style. Design Ideas for Windows offers hundreds of ways for dressing a window with hard (blinds and shutters) and soft (curtains, draperies, valances, and fabric shades) treatments. All types of windows are featured in the book, including standard shapes and sizes, as well as special "architectural" windows and odd shapes. Fabric types and recommendations, as well as trimmings, are thoroughly addressed.
