A complete and yet simple-to-understand treatment of concepts

If you are really interested in how UNIX works, this is your book. It is a bit dated (SVR3), but is still relevant to SVR4 derivatives like Solaris 2.X. This book is essentially a university text book. It is quite dry, read it when fully awake!
