    Disgusts me

What a shame that people are making a profit off of living creatures. Breeding these mixes (while plenty of dogs are dying in shelters) is one thing....the fact that people are exploiting them by writing books, etc., is really just as bad. Stop supporting unethical breeding practices!

You are buying a very expensive mutt!

Don't buy a designer breed and don't call your 'designer' dog a cute breed name. Call it what it is: a mutt. A Puggle is a Pug/Beagle mix. Don't support backyard breeders and puppy mills by getting one of these dogs! Get educated! Go to a rescue!

    This is ridiculous!

The whole point of a truly PUREbred dog is that you can predict tendencies and traits, and there is a breed standard. Some of my favorite dogs are mutts, but you can't predict how a mixed breed dog will turn out. There is no responsible breeding of mixed breed dogs -- if you want a 'doodle or an 'uggle, please save a life and adopt from a shelter, instead of supporting an irresponsible breeder. Please, PLEASE don't contribute to the overpopulation problem and decide to breed 'designer dogs' yourself. There are 7 million dogs and cats euthanized in US shelters every year.

How could you buy into such a thing!

How can we allow ourselves to believe that these 'breeders' are keeping the dog's best interest in mind? When you mix one breed with another you NEVER know exactly what you are going to get. A real breeder knows this and will only stick to breeding dogs who are only one breed. A true breeder breeds to show 'i.e. champion dogs with known ancestry lines' not for monetary gain!

    Don't perpetuate this horrible trend!

Thousands of dogs across the country are put down every year because people spend money on these designer 'breeds.' There is no such thing as a puggle, a shnoodle, or a goldendoodle. If you want a dog, do your research and don't put your money into the pockets of people who breed dogs for the love of money over the love for animals.

If you love dogs, this is fun.

If you love dogs, especially unique looking ones, this is the book for you. It's interesting to see how the different combination of breeds produces such cool dogs. I'm especially partial to the Puggle.

most enjoyable book for dog lovers

my husband, my daughter, and I really enjoyed this book. We are all dog lovers. The charactistics given in the book for the dogs which we have-beagles, pugs, and jack russells were right on the mark. A very entertaining book.

    Love a dog

A really nice book with eye-catching photos. I am so happy that my accidental cross-breed rescue dog has a name, besides a 'mutt' that is. Do not buy this book if you hate dogs. You may start to love them. Cindy

    Informational and entertaining

Loved this book - lots of great information on hybrids as well as some adorable pictures. Great coffee table book or for anyone who has a hybrid. Also, enough of people complaining about hybrid dogs - the pure bred mentality is so old-fashioned. And I own both!

    A reviewer

I would definitely recommend this book to all you dog lovers out there! I myself have a 'designer dog' and it portrays her perfectly. The pictures are amazing and the layout's easy to follow and attractive. If you're looking into buying a doggie hybrid, or even if you're not this book is worth the price.
