About the Author

Bill Hirsch has practiced Architecture for over 35 years. During that time he has designed hundreds of custom homes throughout the United States. Although Bill has extensive experience in commercial and residential architecture, he has specialized in his passion, custom residential design for the last 18 years. “There is an emotional ingredient in residential design that is just not there in commercial work,” he says. “When the construction is finished and the moving boxes have been unpacked, it’s really a thrill to hear my clients tell me that their new house feels like home. That’s the best compliment I can get.”

Bill is a past President of the Delaware Society of Architects, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and is certified by the National Council Architectural Review Board. He holds a Masters of Architecture from the University of Virginia. He lives in North Carolina with his wife, Maureen.
