Desire in the Dark [NOOK Book]

Very short but really good

This ebook is only about 31 pages, and in those pages is a very steamy, very well written story.

This is my favorite kind of romance, two people who have been friends and have fallen in love. The writer does a good job of packing in the sense of them knowing each other, being good friends, and wanting more from each other. The reader basically comes into the story at a point when it all comes to ahead.

There are a few typos in the e-version, but for me they did not detract from the story. Be warned this is an erotic book in that it is more than steamy, it's very graphic in language and description. If that offends, you may want to pass on this one.

As for me, I'm going to see if I can find something else this author has written.

Sex scene looking for a book

This reads like it should have been the big sex scene mid-book. Only problem is, there is no book. And the sex is in wrong order, so smacks of an encounter with a paid hooker. Baaaad!

Erotic, but not entirely original

Desire in the Dark is a fun, erotic story. It's fun to read, and pretty well written. The basic plot line is not unheard of, basically two long-time friends who have secrelty loved each other for a while, and eventually hook up.

The story is erotic, and not for the younger crowd, or the easily offended. But if you like erotic stories, this is a good read. THe characters are beleivable, and the dialog is natural. Based on the opening of the story, I was expecting a bit more from the main female character, but her actions weren't entirely unusual.

Essential, Desire in the Dark is a good read, but if a few scenes had played out a little more naturally it would have been better. Expect a few typos, and out of place or missing words here and there as you're reading, so if that bothers you be mindful of that.

Crass and short

There really is no story line for this short story. They have a brief non-sex scene, in which they talk about having sex. Then, the lights go off, and they can't go anywhere. Why? I don't know, most cars do have headlights. Really a lousy reason for two people to get involved. I could not count how many times the author used the f-word. Not at all impressed. No romance, just porn.

Enjoyed and recommend this one.

This was good for a short story. The author grabs you and pulls you into both of the characters. The imagery was fantastic and very detailed. Great read for something free of charge, it got me in the mood.

Good Short Read

I really like this short read. I read it while waiting at the airport. I like the idea of the 'Naughty Nooners'. If you want something to read at lunch or on break and can't get into a whole book these are great. It's just a short story to read for pleasure. Everyone keeps giving it bad reviews for the 'short' story plot. I don't get it, that's all it is a short story for you to see if you like the author. Definity will try a book by Naima Simone.

Nicely written, and realistic!

I am new to this genre. This is the first story I've read fully, for I had only read a compilation of sex scenes before this little book. Nonetheless, I found this piece exquisite. It was graphic but not grotesque. It was romantic and realistic. Would definitely recommend and will keep to read again!

31 pages of not to shabby

*Story Contains Characteristics Of An Erotic Nature* Well the story is kind of on the typical side of erotic fantasy, however not to badly written. Only real complaint here is that I didn't like how the girl gave in so easily. All in all was a good, short & free E-Read.

wanted to cry at the end

the ending is what anyone in love or has ever been in love would want. beautiful. dont know how this has a 3 star rating.

Not for kids. But very good.

I really enjoyed this book. I hope to see more of the same in other books from this author. And i hope to see more on mac and alise. They seem perfact for eachother. I would love to be able to read more about them.

Just because you think sex for children is okay doesn't make it so. A persons brain isn't fully developed until their early twenties, so they cannot predict all of the consequences of their actions. Having sex is something that should only occur between adults and even then they should get to know each other before jumping into bed together. More babies have been aborted than all the people that have been killed during all of the wars that America has been involved in. A whole generation dead because of people not taking responsibility for their actions. Not to mention all of the STDs that are killing people, and YOU think teenagers should be having sex? You are either an idiot or 16 years old yourself. If you are a teen you proved I am right by your misinformed comment.

Hoe is the fact that the kif had sex perverted? It is natural. I nearly had sex before i was 11. Sex is just something that feels good and every body should try it. There should be no law against having sex before you are 16. Just as long as the girl realizes if she gets knocked up then her and the father must be responsible and take care of the kid.
