Overview

What if your entire race were created by the ancient Celtic God, Dagda, to please his beloved daughter, Brighid, who gifted your maternal bloodline with a spark of her soul? Now you’re given the task of living in the mortal realm to bring the gift of the Arts to the mortals she loves; while being relentlessly hunted by the Goddess of the Killing Rage to satisfy a deadly desire for Otherworldly vengeance.

Just before Eléan’s seventeenth birthday, the Goddess of Lust & Rage, along with the Immortal she created, destroyed her sheltered life. Now, an object of possession by mortals and immortals alike; Eléan must learn to control her legacy and, with the two warriors that love her, save the Goddess Brighid by protecting the small flame of Immortal soul that lives within her.

Liam and James have been friends…brothers…since they were children. Now the Otherworld has been released into the Mortal Realm leaving a bloody path of terror in its desire for vengeance. It’s coming for Eléan, a woman they both love and would die to protect. Will the Otherworld destroy their bond…or will their love for Eléan give them the strength to fight what’s coming?

Forced into the service of the Goddess Morrigan and made immortal, Greagoir must be the vessel for the Goddess’ uncontrollable lust and killing rage. Eléan is the key. After all these centuries, all that stands in his way are two mortal warriors gifted by a goddess and a young woman’s desire to survive.

Below are 5 star reviews posted on Goodreads for Desires (A Legacy Novel) brought over by the author, R. Rose. ******* Wow. Okay so I just finished this and wow. I can't wait for the next one! I want to thank R. Rose for giving me the chance to read this masterpiece! It has the ingredients for a good YA, attractive people, a love triangle, fighting, etc. Now I must say the title of this book was perfect! You know when you read a book and then you look at the title and you're like why is it called that? This is not one of those books. It was the perfect length and the cover is so pretty it's definitely worth buying a physical copy to sit on your bookshelf! The artwork throughout this book is so pretty. This book is definitely worth reading, Eléan is young and pretty and seems pretty cool. She is the daughter of the Queen and King of her village, that makes her a princess I guess. Her village is completely down to earth though and she has these two friends... They're like brothers, and of course they're attractive #TeamJames. The love triangle was just... Words are failing me right now. The ending made my jaw drop a little and I'm not gonna lie I did shed quite a few tears throughout this. I definitely recommend this book but please keep in mind this is YA and new; if you are squeamish about sex you might want to wait a while. Malevolence hurry up and come out! I need you! - Jada, Goodreads reviewer ******* ** spoiler alert ** **Don't read this if you do not want spoilers** Well, let me just tell you, this book was excellent. About a girl turned young woman, Eléan, whose Legacy will both help and destroy her. When Eléans parents die, who are also the King and Queen, Eléan is forced to choose her warrior, and chooses Liam, who she had just recently discovered feelings for. Meanwhile, Liam's brother James, is totally and completely in love with her. What starts out as a love triangle, this book develops into so much more. This is the book that I've been waiting for. But because of her Legacy, Greagoir is after her. He is not alone, as the Goddess of Killing Rage and Uncontrollable Lust, Morrigan, is by his side, along with other crow beasts and tons of mercenaries. Greagoir seeks to have Elèan in his bed furs willingly, but when she refuses, he will stop at nothing. This book made me laugh at times, and have my jaw drop A LOT. But those ending pages, were beautiful. One thing I'm concerned with after reading the epilogue, what will the second book be about? I hope it is Brigit and Connor as she comes to understand her Legacy. - Austin W., Goodreads reviewer ******* I L-O-V-E-D this book. The author effectively created a world and characters that a reader could invest in and profit. I started the book at 10pm thinking I would only read a little bit in order to get a solid introduction. WRONG...I stayed up until 5am when I couldn't keep my eyes opened any longer. Highly recommended. - Sharon W., Goodreads Reviewer ******* I LOVED this book. From the first page all the way to the last page I was in LOVE! In fact I'm still in LOVE with it and waiting for the second one to come out. The author has created a book that is breathtaking, from the characters to the ancient God's to the fighting. The character development was perfect. I felt that I connected with and believed the characters in the book. Lindsey, Goodreads Reviewer

This story is absolutely impassioned. The author brought each character to life with such vividness that you immediately get a feel for who they are, what they desire and what they are willing to do to get what they want. It is not the author's ability to draw her readers in, but her ability to create a world around her readers that makes this book a great read. I really enjoyed this book.
