Taking her to the infamous Keep of the Brotherhood at Lalssu, he begins in-depth, graphic instructions of the young, naive virgin. Though he trains his charge with the Grand Master in mind, he does not count on falling in love and lust with the lovely Jameela.

Her father and brothers sold Jameela into slavery. She had resigned herself to an existence of backbreaking work or exacting degradation. When the forbidding Lord Dagan purchases her, she knows her life is in the hands of the handsome lord. Learning his terrible secret only deepens a love that began on the long ride to the Keep.

But the lovers must face formidable obstacles that will take them from the highest plains of desire to the lowest depths of fear. They will battle unseen forces that threaten to tear them apart, and are forced into lethal situations where only love can stay the hand of death. Before Jameela is handed over into the Grand Master's keeping, sheer evil will trod the land and Dagan will know to what depths he is willing to go to keep her at his side

Wow. What a waste. First the ridiculous concubine staging. Then the hero is a eunuch. Oh but wait his twin brother who is the ruler of their kingdom, is to marry his true love. Doesn't stop there. His twin is a cripple and decides they both will be married to her, because between the two, they make a whole man. If that's not crazy enough, the hero is captured by (let me get this right) vampiristic werewolves that are controlled by a hideous parasite. Thanks to the healing parasite (yeah gimme some of that) the hero is a eunuch no more, his brother can walk, his twin gets his own sick twisted true love, who is already knocked up with the hero's baby whom she raped. The heroine unnecessarily volunteers for the ridiculous parasite insertion. Of course they lived happily ever after. Really???

I didn't think I would like this book because it was a bit slw getting started for me but once it did I enjoyed it. It my not be for everyone because it is different but it was a good story.

    Just okay

I was intrigued by the story and like the star-crossed lovers part of the story. But the second half got a little dark for me. I like vampire stories, but these vampires were not romantic enough and too evil.
And I felt the main characters compromised their values and what their tribe stood for, all for the sake of being perfect.
That aside, it was an interesting read and if you find it free, I say go for it.

    Interesting read

This was a weird story but ut did grab and keep mt attention. Who cares for the traditional love story?! Though the ending was anticlaictic, i enjoyed all the weird twist and turns if this book.
