    Good, and only gets better!

It's the greatest thing to hit the shelves since Harry Potter! This is the first volume and contains chapters 1 - 14, in which Red (fans may recognize him as the RGBYFRLG video game protagonist or 'Ash' from the anime) obtains a PokeDex and sets off on a mission to collect data on Pokemon, stop the plans of Team Rocket, and make his place in history as one of the greatest Pokemon Trainers of all time. The first volume is not as exciting as the others, but it does catch the attention of readers with it's cute art and lack of paranoia over the words 'die' and 'slave' that seems so prominent in 'all audiences' media these days. The last chapter in the book is the best, but I know it's unlikely to leave readers craving more. Here's some advice - get more anyway, the story gets really intense as it goes on. Not just intense by Pokemon's standards, either. Intense, period.
