Great Addition to an addicting series

Destined to Die is the third in an interesting new vampire series from sisters, Jayme and Jody Morse. I was excited to read this installement after the cliff hanger of the last book where Austin rescues Lexi and is shockingly alive. Lexi finds out Lexi and Gabe have been working together and Austin was turned right before his parents tried to kill him. Gabe has been having visions and in almost all of them end in Lexi's death at the hands of the vampires in Briar Creek. Lexi has been declared the suspect in a murder so she must hide in order not to be turned into authorities by the well-meaning public. In order to hide, Gabe and Austin take Lexi and enroll in Huntington High a Vampire Hunter school in the nearby town. Lexi finds out that the "Hunters" were a line of vampire hunters and she might be too. But also at Huntington is the slutty vamp that made Gabe and wants him back. After Lexi catches them in a compromising position, she seeks solace in the arms of an old flame.

The main reason I didn't give this 5 stars is I didn't understand why Lexi would just go to Craig. Craig is a character that I have never been able to believe as a love interest for me he is just sort of creepy. I can't explain it really but I don't see him and Lexi as a couple. Because of this ackwardness, part of the story is hard for me to fully get into. It seemed like Lexi just immediately turned to Craig instead of mourning her relationship with Gabe. She didn't really seem that upset about it--no sleepless crying nights. But I still enjoy the unique storyline. Briar Creek is a wonderful new paranormal vampire romance series that I would highly recommend.

    Worst one so far

Out of this series, this book is the worst one so far. I may change my mind if/when I finish the fourth one. The main character acts stupidly and the writing is still quite poor. And the story is becoming predictable. NOT RECOMENDED!

Now on to book three. I think it just gets better and better!

Now on to book three. I think it just gets better and better! The action starts almost immediately so get comfortable. In book three, you learn a few interesting things about Lexi and the ones who are trying to protect her. She must find a way to finally escape Briar Creek and you will not believe who is trying to help her! Lexi is scared to death and doesn’t know who she can trust. She finds herself having to trust some very unlikely people ( well, maybe just one or two….lol) but she may not have a choice.

We learn a bit more about the history of Briar Creek in this book and why Lexi has become so important to the vampires. As the blurb from Goodreads says…..Lexi is going to have to clear some more hurdles in order to try and change her fate. I am really looking forward for the next installment in this series!

I have always loved the character development throughout these books and you will not be disappointed!

    Awesome series

Amazing books!!! Everything is good, the plot, the twist & most of all the characters. The age of them should in my opinion be older due to some of the maturity shown by them but other than that truly a great read

I think these books are slowly improving, but for the most part, they're just mediocre. This is the third book in the series and nothing has really happened yet. You think it has, but it really hasn't. The plot is in pretty much the exact same place it was two books ago, and the characters haven't grown at all at this point. The main character was marginally better in this one, but that's not saying much since she's usually a slut-shaming idiot that can't keep her mouth off of like four different guys.

    Good Series

The mystery in this series just keeps on going. Lexi just cannot get her love interests going though. She supposedly loves Gabe, but as soon as a little trouble comes up in the relationship she starts up with someone else. This has been true in all the books so far, which is why I give 4 stars. Good series for the money however and I look forward to reading them all.
