Overview

In the liner notes for this album, the Brothers Cazimero mention that their destiny is to continue making their music. As it happens, the Destiny album sits as quite a bit of a continuance of their usual sound. Not to say that the music is poor in any way however -- the Cazimeros do their thing extraordinarily well -- relaxed, lulling songs based around their vocals. There are some excellent compositions here, but aside from the specifics, nothing a fan hasn't heard before. The high point of excitement here is the venerable "Waimanalo Blues," a classic that also breaks the Cazimeros out of the lullaby-style track they dig into for the length of this album. Fans of the duo will thoroughly enjoy this one, though newcomers to the Cazimeros may be better served by some of the older classics as an introduction to what the pair can really do.
