Overview

THEY CAN TALK THE TALK, BUT CAN THEY WALK THE WALK?

Sierra, Raine, and Liza are Destiny’s Divas, a fresh, new gospel group whose unique blend of singing and testifying has gained them fans across the country. They tell the world about how good God has been to them, but off-stage, each is living a life totally opposite to what she preaches—and each is harboring a secret that could ruin them all.

Twenty-something Sierra Dixon speaks about the joy of being single and celibate, though she is anything but, drifting from one relationship to another. Although she stresses the importance of unconditional love within the family, Raine Omari has hit her breaking point with her mother-in-law and is ready to take drastic steps. And when Liza Washington discovers that her pastor-husband is in the middle of a scandal that could bring down more than just their ministry, she knows she must do something to stop him. One fateful evening their secrets are exposed, and one diva commits an act that could land her in prison for the rest of her life. Each has motive—who will crack?

OMG this was a great book!!! Victoria moved away from the Lady Jasmine and came up with 3 great characters. These ladies represent 3 different generations. I enjoyed this book and will recommend to my friends and family.

This was one of VCM Best books yet!

I could not put this book down!! I believe this was one of her best books yet. This is a must read. It kept me engaged and it's a story of redemption and how lies are able to come back to haunt you when you least expect them to. I love the way she weaved a bit of modern day lesson into the story with 'sexting' and other horrors that are going on in our society that are kept secret! I will not share those for fear of giving the stories away....read the book. GREAT! MitziD

    Good Read

Loved the book; a very easy read and I liked how the story flowed and ended. A telling story for those who live their lives publicly and in private; not a good thing. We should live our lives the same publicly and in private.

    Heartbreak and Fame

Once you open this book you won't be able to put it down until finished.
We follow three generations with Sierra, being the youngest, Raine the woman with a 12 year old, and Liza a Mother of grown children.
They are now the hottest new gospel group sensation, and about to begin a tour across the US.
As we look into the lives of these strong woman, we see that things are not as they appear. Each is locked into their own struggle, and we move along with them throughout the book. As each grows stronger and more determined, we find the hand of God on each.
Surprising ending and not exactly like I thought it would be...I of course want more of these woman...please let us move on with them!
Can't say enough about how great the writing is in this book, it moves along so smoothly!

I received this book from the Publisher Simon and Schuster, and was not required to give a positive review.

    Destiny Diva

This was a great book! The ending was surprising. It seems there should be more to read about the character. Hopefully there will be a sequel.

Destiny's Diva's was surely a story that deals with the issues of walking the walk and talking the talk. With three divas, each had a core issue that was keeping them from the truth. I must say, as I was reading this story, I was hooked on Sierra's story line because her character really related to me in my age group, and it underlined the struggles that we as Christian youth in ministry must face to try and keep our purity.
Overall I rate this book an four stars, partially because I believe that there could have been more to the story, I just felt that it was prematurely cut off at the end. Although the Epilogue delved deep into the sort after story, I still feel that there was a little more story left before the epilogue.
