Excellant pictorial of a sorely missed hockey venue. Growing up with the Detroit Redwings I had the rare privelidge of attending many Redwing and Jr Redwing hockey games in this wonderful arena. Joe Louis arena pales in comparison to this well built landmark. In fact the Joe is just a greedy corporate joke compared to the Olympia. A very uncomfortable arena unlike the Olympia. The only dissapointment with this book was no pictures of the mezzanie which was behind one of the nets above the balcony or second deck. This was a great place to sit. The miniature third deck so to speak until they put private boxes there. Excellant book none the less. Best rink out of all the original six except for maybe the Chicago Stadium. Another legendary arena. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
