I am doing this book with a group of people who are in the same business as I and we have trainer guiding us through each chapter. There is so much GOOD material that I'm glad we are using it as a training tool rather than just reading it. However, for anyone without a group to share with, make sure you have a highlighter handy as you read! Enjoy, I am!

If you are looking for a clearly written book on the basics of leadership, you need to look no further. It is clearly and engagingly written. John Maxwell uses plenty of illustrations to bring his points home. Our church is using this book to train our volunteer leadership.

I was lucky. I did not only read John's book, but also experienced working with him, on many occasion. Leadership can, and is, unfortunately, ripped into so may unnecessary, no sense making "smart topics" or - it can just so easy be defined, as John does. For me, he is the only person I'd ever met, who not only can clear , yet short, define "Leader", but he is the Leader himself. Suggestion, Read the book anyway, even if you have no ambition to be(come) a leader. After reading this book, you may as well be inspired to change your self-evaluation and believe, you, too, can be a leader. Who knows. Just read it! And if you are a "leader", or at least think you are, but haven't read this book, I can assure you, you aren't a leader. ;-)
