The day was brutal. A huge thunderstorm slapped rain around the sky. Rain fell in large drops. The water in the feild was three feet and rising. Kinnsa was soaked with water and strangers blood. She was cold too. But theres no stopping in a war. So she fought on. Her sword swung and connected with someones neck killing them. Blood continued to splatter on her face and fine blond hair, and staining her red and gold royal armor. Her sword blade became a whirlwind of danger. She made her final swing before nightfall at a handsome boy a few years older than her. Dark brown hair framed his broad cheeks and a beginning of a beard accented his clefted chin. As he swung his sword to meet hers she saw a look of grim determination in his hazel green eyes. She spun away just barely dodging his swing. A horn blew signaling the end of that days battle. As the boy turned away Kinnsa saw a peice of folded paper fall from his hand. She stepped forward and picked it up. When she unfolded it it said: My name is Dolhvah. Meet me at the hills at midnight. So that night she snyck out of camp abd met Dolhvah at the hills. He said he loved the way she fought. Every night they came back and talked. One night he said that he loved her. So they started having a love affair. They planned to run away together. (If i win the contest i will write the rest.)
(continued from Snowy's contest) A soldier of the Wind Army saw me almost immediately. He lunged toward me, his gun pointed straight at me. I quickly jumped to the side, surprised at how easily I could move in the armor. As he struggled to turn and face me, some instinct made me jam the spear into his unprotected side. He collapsed to the ground and fire spread from the wound across his flesh. I pulled the spear out and stared in horror. The guy was already engulfed in flames. He died slowly and definitely painfully. The flames soon went out, and there was nothing left except his armor and wind gun. And a greasy stain. Um... I had no time to think about what I'd done. Another soldier was lunging at me. Without thinking, I grabbed the dead guy's gun (it wasn't like he'd be using it) and shot it at the live guy. It was a perfect hit. He flew backwards, landing on an airborne arrow. Arrow?! Whipping around, I saw the famed lone archer of Shichiiwa, Hyugaara. The Earth Army of Shichiiwa mostly used guns that shot bullets of hard-packed soil, much like Rokukaze's wind guns. Hyugaara was the only soldier that used a weapon other than his army's trademark weapon. And if he was here... Doing a quick 360¿, I saw that the Earth Army was fighting...on the side of Gohi. Not good. Each army had the same number of soldiers. Two armies against one was kill, regardless of what element any of the armies represented. Where were our allies, the Water Army of Hachimitsu? No time to think, because more soldiers were coming for me. I picked up the armor of the first guy I killed–it was surprisingly light–and ran. This was messed up. I was thirteen, I had been forced to fight against my own country, I had just killed two people, and now I was running with the armor and weapon of the first guy I'd killed. Does anyone else see something wrong with that?
Ben and Ashley looked around the room and saw all tye knights looking straight at them. "I wish i knew what they were thinking" said ben. "Yea. They look like they just saw a ghost." Ashley replied." Where are we?" "You are in king Arthurs court." Replied the voice. "Are you serious? I cant believe that you acrually brought us back in time." "Its true. I do not lie." The orb said. Ben Ashley saw one of the nights get up and walk toward them, "How dareth two peasants enter the kings court? Who are you? Speak lest I throw you both in the moat!" "You will do nothing of the sort Sir Gallahad!" Said a figure standing in front of an enourmous golden throne. "But your highness they are-" "Enough! I decide what will happen to the intruders.- Where did you two come from?" The king asked. "We are fom New York sir." Said Ben. "Where is this land of 'New York'?" The king asked "Who are you? Magicians sent to view our land and make an alliance?" "Um actually no. We arent magicians and we have no king in our country. My name is Ben and this is my gf Ashley." "If you are not magicians then how did you suddenly materialize? No! You are highly skilled magicians. Pehaps even the apprentices of the great Merlin." "But sir we dont know anything about Merlin. We arent even from this time. We came here from the year twenty twelve." Ashley objected. "Liars! You cannot lie to me. You are great magicians- Seat these two and bring them the best foods to eat!" The king said. "Right away your majesty" replied two servants who ran straight into the kitchen to notify the cook. Turning again to Ben and ashley who had by now been seated the king said" Be merry and do us the honor of feasting with us!" Ben and Ashley looked at eachother and then turned to the king and Ben said "Sure. Well stay for dinner. We have a little time." After a few minutes the servants brought out platters heaped with vegetables and fruits and silver dishes heaping with meats of all kinds. More servants came with loaves of bread and jugs of wine and began serving the dinner guests. After dinner the king called for music and asked Ben and Ashley if they would like to see the performers who were in Camelot at the moment but Ben declined saying "Oh no thanks. We need to get going. Thank you for dinner. It was really good." "But you cant leave allready! It is my duty to house you for the night. You must stay here tonight!" The king replied. But Ben thanked the king and politely insisted that he and Ashley really needed to go home so they got up from the table and holding the orb in his hand Ben said" Ok. Take us back home." A bright flash and suddenly Ashley and Ben were standing in bens bedroom again. "That was awesome!" Said Aahley. "Yea. I guess so." Ben replied. "Where else do you think we could go? We could go any where and to any time. Lets meet at the cafe after school tomorow to talk about this some more. I have to get home. See you tomorrow Ben." She walked out the door and headed down the street to her house. "Ok. Bye Ashley! Ill see you tomorrow!"--- End of chapter two.
