Intriguing, Knowledgably, and Helpful Information on Guitars Development of the Modern Guitar, by John Huber, is a fascinating and knowledgeable book that anyone can read about guitars. It gives the reader an inside look of the evolution of the modern guitar and why luthiers made it the way they did. This book also talks about the specific parts that make up the guitar and what they are used for. It gives the reader a distinct knowledgeable reasoning around each part about who invented it and who used it such as the nylon strings. At first, I thought this book was going to be boring and not interesting but as I read more and more, I became intrigued into learning more about luthiers. If you were to start a career in becoming a luthier on guitars, I recommend that you read this book to learn the background information behind guitars and the past luthiers of guitar; where did they come from and why they build it the way they do. Even if you are not looking into becoming a luthier, this book will still be very interesting the way of having background knowledge and information that many people don’t really have. In my opinion, I had a great time reading this book because it gave me the incentive to go and learn more about luthiers and their culture.
