Though it falls short of the excellence of Old Boyfriends or The Waiting Game, Devil May Care is a very respectable effort from a young artist who found her voice early on. True to form, Martin doesn't inundate listeners with obvious choices. Buddy Guy's "Save Your Love for Me" is the only song on this British release that really qualifies as a standard.
