    I Also Recommend:

    Short but Satisfying!

I delayed reading Four Dukes and a Devil because the only short story I was interested in was Cat and Bones. I'm so glad this novella has been separated from the other stories in that anthology. Cat and Bones are not the focus of this novella, however brief the encounter, it was fantastic to get a touch of them, and it was also a fantastic treat to have Mencheres as well.

It is not necessary to be familiar with the Night Huntress series in order to follow along with this novella. I would consider this novella a stand-alone and I would love to read more about Elise and Blake in the near future. Their story was so compelling and intense, I wished this novella would never end.

The short story flowed smoothly and was well written. It felt complete and made me long to read the next Night Huntress book six, One Grave AT A Time due out 8/30/11 and also the new Night Prince series with Vlad and Leila, Once burned due out 3/27/2012.

I highly recommend this novella, Night Huntress Series and also the Night Huntress World books to fellow dark urban fantasy readers.

    Good

Nice little story, well written as usual. Happy to get these from my favorite authors without having to buy the whole anthologies full of other authors that I do not care to read. J. Frost is an amazing talent- wish there were more of her!

    great book

A good read. I wish it could have been longer, but it was great as a short story. Bring on some more.

    Must Read!

I am upset with myself for not reading this storu until now. I love all of her books, so how in the world did I every miss this one. This was a good story, the only bad about it was, that it was not longer. I would love to hear more about these two in future books. If you have not read this or any of her other books, you should make plans to do so!

A good side story from the Night Huntress series

Yet another side story about a little known character from the Night Huntress series which I adore. Definitely a good read if you are a fan and a decent introduction if you haven't read The Fabulous Frost yet, although of course I recommend you start with the first in the series as you'd be missing some info but not so much as that you'd be completely lost.

a must read for Frost fans

If you love Jeaniene Frost this book is for you. It is a short story with very little Cat and Bones but still a great story in the same universe.

    Short and boring

I absolutely love The Night Huntress series and world but this book or shall I say short story left much to be desired. Out of all the books this has got to be by far my least favorite. The characters didn't seem to be fully developed and at no point did I feel connected or invested in them. I'm glad it eas cheap but honestly it wasn't even worth what I did pay for it.

    Not her best

Frost is one of my favorite authors, but this just wasn't fully developed. It was probably because it was a short story, but the characters were dry and didn't stir any feelings of caring from me.

    Really liked it

I did really like this, was let down that the last 25 pages were one of the older book from the series, would loved for there to have been 25 more for the "devil to pay"
