Luke Dawson is in New York to find out what happened to a friend's daughter. Unfortunately, he's hit a dead end. Literally. Taryn Hayes has had to work hard for everything in her life but all her ambition won't save her when she becomes the prime suspect in the murder of her mentor. Especially when it becomes known that he's been harassing her.
Devil's Harvest is a wonderful book to curl up with on a rainy day. The plot is engaging and the obstacles the hero and heroine face just keep coming. Taryn is a scrappy and determined heroine who is easy to cheer for. And Luke is the kind of guy everyone would want if they find themselves in trouble. Ms. Scott's engaging style makes this a sure winner.
Overview
When surgical resident Taryn Hayes becomes the prime suspect in a renowned physician's murder, the only person who can help her is Luke Dawson, a private investigator searching for information about a friend's sudden death. Taryn, a believer in facts, and Luke, a man who trusts his gut instincts, clash as their investigation leads them to a link between the two cases. At the same time, they can't deny opposites attract. But will they survive long enough to catch a killer before he strikes again, and to find out if their chemistry is merely physical, or something more?
