With powerful abilities gained from the Ang’dora and Tristan back by her side, Alexis thinks she’s ready for the next challenge— protecting her son from what appears to be the inevitable. But she has so much to learn about her powers, her new world and the people in it. Nothing is what it seems to be on the surface, including the Amadis.

Power-hungry politicians comprise the council and make impossible demands. A traitor lurks among them all, inciting trouble that could destroy the Amadis and, ultimately, humanity. The Daemoni wreak havoc in the human world, with the ultimatum that they’ll continue attacking innocents until Alexis and Tristan are expelled from the Amadis’ protection. The couple’s own society begins to shut them out. But that’s not all.

Someone’s keeping a secret. A big one. Faith and hope in Alexis and Tristan will be restored if she can uncover the truth in time.

But the search for answers leads only to the discovery of more betrayals by those closest to Alexis. Her devotion is put to the test—devotion to her husband, to her family, to her people and to her beliefs—leaving her to question whom she’s fighting for and why she should even bother. But if she won’t fight . . . who will?

    Great series

I have really enjoyed this series. Kristie brings in a new issue in each book to break your heart and keep you reading until the end in hopes of an absolution. I thought this would be the last book, so I was both disappointed and excited to find out it was not the end of the Alexis and Tristan's story. I am sad I have to wait for another book, but happy their story can go on a little longer. It is a little more risky than I usually read since I am a lover of young adult books. These are definitely adult books, and not for your teenagers.

    MUST READ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

An excellent continuous on from book 2.. Twists and turns , a whirlwind of betrayl, action, love, devotion, mystery and lots of gob smacking excitment, you may even shed a tear or two so have the tissues handy.

Book three is the best by far, I know your thinking normally they go down hill after a few books but to no avail this did not !! It was amazing and filled to the brim with everything one could want and more !

Kristie Has woven her magic in this story, pulling the reader into evey page, with great descriptions that will fasinate you and glide us along right till the very end. !! Your reader will be in a frenzy, and I can guarantee you will have this finished in record breaking time !!

Devotion will capture and pique your attention with the wonderful writing, well detailed and intriguing storyline and descriptions that Im you can easily envisage and feel. Chapters that run smoothly, characters you will certainly interact with, and smooth flowing dialogue and storyline that makes it a wonderful read..

Its Filled with action packed scenes that will not only drag you into every page but have you left thinking about it way after this story had ended... Characters you can relate to, and a love story and , devotion that will have you tangled in its web. Yes you will be glued to this story way past the last page has been read.

Book three is even better then the first two books, you ask how is this so ! and I can tell you it is.. Moments where you will be sniffing, grabbing that tissue and other moments where you friskly reading to find out more !!

Devotion is definelty worth the read, but do make sure you read the first two in the series first. I eagerly await book four ! Im sure Kristie has alot more in store for us readers !

    Devotion

Devotion is the third addition to the Soul Savers series by Kristie Cook, and I have to admit that I had a really hard time getting into this book. I just couldn't form a connection to the first half of the story, but the second half of this book really pulled me in. Kristie took me on so many twists and turns that I was kept on the edge of my seat. To me, the mystery within Devotion was the best of the series yet; and for the most part, this book was fast paced. Alexis and Tristan must face one of the hardest betrayals of their lives; and it's causing distrust between not only themselves but within all of the Amadis people. Secrets surround everyone and it's hard to know who can be trusted and who will only cause more trouble for Alexis and Tristan. There is a traitor among the Amadis, and in order to save their love, Alexis and Tristan must fight to keep their family together.

    Fantastic sequel to Purpose!

My review: After I turned the last page of Purpose, which was the second book in the Soul Savers series, I could not wait to start reading Devotion! When I finally got it I read it in one sitting. Now, after finishing Devotion, I can’t wait till next book! Devotion, written by Kristie Cook, was very good reading from the first page until the last one. Somehow Kristie has managed something that many authors lack – she is capable of turning each book in series into more intriguing experience and constantly surprises you. I loved that about Devotion! Regarding the plot: As said, there were many unpredicted turns in Devotion. Devotion picks up exactly where Purpose ended. Alexis and Tristan are visiting Amadis, but Amadis is getting more and more anxious about Alexis not having a daughter with Tristan and it creates disorder in Amadis’ council. Rina is asking Alexis to listen to council members’ minds to find out who is behind the weird behavior of council members. Alexis tries hard, but does not succeed for a while, until she hears about a girl. After that so many things start to happen. Alexis is determined to find the girl even though none believes her. The only person standing behind Alexis is Tristan. Tristan stands by her even nobody wants to see these two together and even he has his doubts what is right thing to do. Before you know, you find yourself in Australia, where Alexis and Tristan are escaping barely staying alive from another attack from the Daemoni. Nobody wants to help them because Amadis is sure that Alexis should not be with Tristan. Council turns against Tristan and after returning to Amadis, he is set for trial of betraying the Amadis. Did I see that coming? No. Did I see that coming who is the girl? No Did I see that coming who is Tristan’s mother? No Did I see that coming who was the person who influenced the council? No. Devotion takes all your knowledge what you think might happen and turns it around. It surprises you. It is unpredictable and very interesting and fascinating! Brilliant development of the story! Regarding the characters: I loved Alexis in Devotion! So strong to her beliefs, so persistent of finding what she searches, so true to her love! I loved when she said: If he goes, I go! Kristie did absolutely wonderful job with Alexis in Devotion. The same goes for Tristan. He was willing to give up the dearest of them all, to show his love. Even though I do not understand such a sacrifice, I admired him for that. The relationship between Alexis and Tristan is stronger than ever. Dorian was adorable. The relationship he developed with his father was so sweet and lovable. The way Dorian cared for her mother made my heart skip couple of beats – it was so beautiful when Dorian told her mom that he did not want mom to be like she was when Tristan was away. It almost broke my heart. I really hope that Dorian will not be part of the Daemoni and can take over the rule of Amadis. His heart simply belongs to the good ones! There were some new characters brought in and out of the new characters my favorite was Char – Owen’s mother. Generally: Devotion was great sequel to Promise and Purpose and honestly, I was sorry when I finished reading Devotion’s last page. I was so sure that Devotion is the last book in the series, but I found out, that it is not. And I am glad for that, because the way Alexis and Tristan’s path developed in Devotion was well-written!

Kristie Cook has done it again!

First of all, I just want to say, WOW!! Kristie Cook has done it again! I am so in love with the Soul Savers series, and it's become one of my favorite series ever. Kristie's writing is so smooth and seamless as you go from one book to the next--even when you take a break and read Genesis it's as if you're reading the Amadis history along with Alexis. Devotion delves deeper into the politics of the Amadis society. Alexis believed them all to be good to the core, but what she finds is a bunch of politicians vying for power. And when she finds out about all the lies, secrets, and betrayals, there is no way Alexis will swear her loyalty and devotion to them. Not to mention that they seem to be doing everything in their power to separate her from Tristan. As the secrets and betrayals are revealed, Alexis' devotion to not only the Amadis, but her family and even Tristan is tested. She'll need to trust herself and her power to find what is truth and what is deception. It's amazing that after everything Alexis and Tristan have been through that they can come out of it even stronger than they were before. Most people would have been completely destroyed if they went through what these two did. No matter what's being thrown at them, or what direction they're pulled in, Alexis and Tristan's love and loyalty never break. It's may be shaken, it may waver, but it never breaks. Alexis really is the fierce protector, and Tristan the ultimate warrior. They still have many tests and battles ahead of them, but they'll be fine as long as they stick together. Devotion's plot is pretty heavy and serious for most of the book, but Kristie gives us a great reprieve in a hilarious encounter Alexis has with a kangaroo. That's all I'll say about that so I don't spoil it, but I thought it was so funny that I was laughing about it well after I was finished reading Devotion. Kristie is a truly amazing and inspiring writer. She's created memorable and lovable characters, a captivating world, and a story you can't help but fall in love with. Devotion will leave you desperately wanting more.
