Too many pages, too little plot

If you're looking for an interesting read, skip this title. But if you've got insomnia, it might be just right. There's 325 pages, but only about 150 pages worth of story. Instead of developing stories around some characters that could have been very interesting, Morel repeats repeats repeats the same boring lines over and over. Not much developement of either the paranormal aspect or romance, but I guess every book has to end up in some category.

I could beat my head on a wall for spending money on this!

And I only finished it because I spent money on it. I finished in one day because I skipped through the boring parts, which was most of the book.
There was no character development. Can we stay static? I should of read the reviews on this page before buying this waste of money. The people who wrote good reviews must be the authors friends.
The four main characters wait around for something to happen and have boring sex. They don't know where the bad guy is at all times? Wait for him to leave his jewelry store that he is at everyday! Duh. When the necklace was not going to be picked up for another day. Urg!
One main female character has no issues about having [boring] sex with her vampire lover. That's great in real life, no problem, but it's boring on paper. The other female falls hook, line, and sinker for her boyfriend's warnings that she is in danger. She completely believes he is a werewolf hunter, with no real proof! The vampire is a good undead creature. Who cares!
The author wrote this book under a different name than two other books she has written. I realy want to know who she is because I never want to waste my money on another one of her books.

    Dangerous Romances

I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves forbidden romances whether they be among humans and/or werewolves or vampires. In the story, a werewolf has matured to his most dangerous age. He chooses a mate and must be stopped before he reproduces. From there the story takes on the complexities of human and paranormal emotions in love and in the hunt for this creature.

    Fast-paced paranormal thriller

I loved the story of a high-profile urban werewolf with a secret family history that will cause his ruin if the werewolf hunters get to him and add him to their trophies. The characters are all linked by the Montfort legend and three sets of lovers will experience life-changing outcomes, one happy, one tragic and one bittersweet. The pace is fast and the action is entertaining, with the ending in doubt up until the werewolf's last scene. A great book to take to the beach this summer.

    Enjoyable paranormal horror thriller

Paul DuJardin plans to expose fellow Frenchman Pierre du Montfort as a werewolf in a book he is writing. Once he outs Pierre, he feels he and his werewolf slaying partner Catherine Marais will be able to kill the shapechanger. However, Pierre, who has always been able to hide his beastly side with a sophisticated veneer from the purebreds, is outraged that the hunter is outing him and plans to act accordingly. Meanwhile in New York a werewolf is on the rampage with Pierre the prime suspect in the killings. However, their superior tells Paul and Catherine to bring Pierre in alive. For Paul that is made more difficult because he fears the raging werewolf will go after the woman he is falling in love with Professor Julie Buchanan. For Catherine killing the last Montfort werewolf is what she has lived for until she meets two hundred years old vampire Ian Morgan. --- Although there are two romantic subplots, DEVOUR is more a paranormal horror thriller as Paul and Catherine know the rampaging werewolf must be stopped. The kills are graphic so don¿t eat before reading this exciting High Noon like tale reader will anticipate the confrontation between the evil werewolf and the dedicated hunters while wondering whose side the vampire is on whereas the professor is a pawn or is she in the final altercation. Melina Morel provides a fast-paced horror story that werewolf fans will want to read. --- Harriet Klausner
