Dhammapada: The Teachings of the Buddhaby Friedrich Max Muller
Dhammapada means “the path of dharma,” the path of truth, harmony, and righteousness. This essential Buddhist text, based on the oldest version, consists of 423 short verses gathered by the Buddha’s direct disciples after his death and organized by theme: anger, thought, joy, pleasure, and others. The Buddha’s timeless teachings take the form of vivid metaphors from everyday life.

The dhammapada is an essential for buddhists but i dislike how this translation renders certain buddhist terminology i.e. sangha or buddhist community is referred to as the church.
I'm locked otta res three! I'm moving camp (again) to winged dreams all res!
Very good version, though I have to agree with another reviewer in how it tries to accommodate certain terms to a less familiar reader. Otherwise it is very pleasant and easy to read.
Very inspirational quotes whichever page you turn to! Beautifully designed and organized. Definitely recommend this incredible book. I got one for myself and then as gifts and the receivers seemed delighted with it!
