One of the few scriptures studied by students of all sects of Buddhism, the Dhammapada is treasured as a universally accessible summary of the teachings of the Buddha. It presents the Buddhist path of liberation and the lyricism of the Buddha's teachings in an unabridged, miniature edition. Two-color interior.

The Dhammapada is one of the most popular and accessible books in all of Buddhist literature. In it are the words of Shakyamuni Buddha, which teach that all suffering stems from desire and that the way to attain freedom is to purify the heart and follow the way of truth. This version is rendered by Thomas Byrom, whose style is simple and lyrical. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

I am a fledgling Buddhist, and am eager to soak up information. So naturally a book full of poems and verses on the religion was and is fascinating to me. It's got a handy pocket size so I can take it with me whenever I need a little affirmation, and it's just a great read. Any Buddhist who wants a little truth in their life; or anyone else for that matter, can find it in the blessed scripture of the Dhammapada. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
