I really liked this book for so many reasons.

First off, we have Sammie, she is trying to find out who she is as woman after have spent the majority of her life in a loveless/abusive marriage and is just trying to find happiness for herself. She decides that she is going to do something for herself after he daughter goes off to college, so she takes up kick boxing and Pilates and then she ends up in a pole dancing class. She is 35-years-old and is now taking a job as a dancer at a gentleman’s club and that is where those piercing blue eyes of Slate catches her eye.

Second, we have Slate, this really hot biker dude that totally grabs Sammie’s attention. Slate was one sexy bad boy and he is very mysterious...which we love about him, because it just draws us to him that much more! We quickly learn that he has a very dominant, bossy and protective personality. Slate has secrets that he must keep from Sammie and I will leave it at that, because otherwise I might spoil something for other readers. You get to see Slate grow through this story as much as Sammie and you get to see more of his protective side as his feelings for Sammie grow and he faces them for what they truly are.

Then twists and turns to become something way more dangerous and thrilling. It's a great story that will keep you hooked throughout the entire book. Of course there are surprises! I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Diamond girl is the shiznit. It was like a game of guess who. Everyone had alters. One of my big questions was 'Who are you really?' I'm crazy about Slate. I like his complexity. I love Diamond girl she is what a ton of women are. Stuck in a marriage, identity-less, raising kids and trying to keep up this appearance of happy eventhough you really are not. Jack! I HATE your stinking guts!!! You are the scum beneath my toes. What the heck is wrong with you. I love Becky. Everyone should have a friend as supportive as her. The characters are well written. The plot is amazing with all its twists and turns. This is a must read.

Loved this book! It was a quick, easy read and I just kept turning the pages. Needless to say, I had to buy the next book in the series to find out what happens. I wasn't disappointed. The story just got better and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough! Adrea Smith is my new favorite author and I'm already shopping for her other books!

Once I got around to reading it, I couldn't put it down! The book has just the right amount of mystery, suspense/action and
    romance.

It is a well-paced story that is filled with hot, bad-boys, love-to-hate-them antagonists, and a female lead who
eventually gets her mojo back. While I found the idea of the female lead's choice of part-time work a stretch, it
was a fun idea for her to have out an alter-ego existence that carved out something just for her.

The twists and turns in the plot are great and really kept the story moving along. I loved how the story lines were
woven together as well as the author's decision to have some chapters told by different characters' points of
view. The story does contain descriptive sex scenes that add to the story rather than take over the plot (one of
    my pet peeves).

Andrea Smith has a new fan in me, and I'm planning on reading the rest of the series now that I've been
    introduced to it.

I really enjoyed reading this book.
Starts out with Sammie, a 35 yr old " frumpy" housewife, who decides
(with the help/advice from best friend and daughter) that her life is missing
something. Her new extracurricular activities lead to her meeting Slate. Oh boy,
Slate! Talk about hot alpha male. He takes he cake. The twists and turns that transpire
after their meeting will leave you on the edge of your seat. Finished this book in one sitting
as I just could not put it down. A MUST READ. Can't wait to see where she goes with
the next two books in this series.

    I need more stars!

I loved, loved, loved Diamond Girl.

I could not put this book down!

I caution parts of this story are hard to read about, but the story is simply amazing.

The main character, Diamond Girl aka Sammy, is not the typical character I have read about. She is a 35 year old empty nester. ( A refreshing change by the way) Sammy is looking to find herself, being a wife and mother is all she knows. The path to self discovery for Sammy is not what one would consider normal. LOL

Along her road to self discovery Sammy meets Slate a yummy alpha male. Slate introduces Sammy to whole new amazing world.

This book has it all. Highly recommended read!

I really enjoyed this book. It was well written and paced with characters that I liked. There were a few points in the plot that I had a pretty
good idea what was coming but it is hard to surprise me these days.
Overall Diamond Girl has just enough angst, emotion and steaminess to make it an engaging read that is well worth reading!

I was hesitant to pick this one up after reading the preview because I wasn't totally ensconsed in the story at that point. This had been on my TBR for awhile and I couldn't recall details I had read in blogs all that time ago. I'm so glad that I did get it because it was so much more than I could have guessed from the sample. Samantha is stuck in a loveless marriage. A forced marriage as a result of a forced sexual encounter that resulted in pregnancy. Her husband Jack is a piece of work. He was an **** in HS and only his age grew up. After reading so many stories about college kids, it was refreshing to read one about adults with real jobs, problems, life, etc. The main story takes place in the time frame when Samantha and Jack's daughter goes away to college. Samantha doesn't know what to do with her life now and she has never worked. She joins a gym and eventually enrolls in a pole dancing class. She ends up working as a dancer (not a stripper). It is there that she meets a biker maned Slate, and her rocks her world. He really is her knight in shining armor - or in this case hot dude with long hair, a bike and magic fingers. There were parts of the book that were predictable, but there were just as many that made me stop and think highly of Andrea for surprising me. There were a few points where the flow slowed a little too much and a few others where more info would have been better - like the dinner near the end with Samantha and Slate telling Lindsey and both of their parents everything. I would have loved to have seen that scene. Anyway, I was thrilled with the ending and am so glad that I took the time to read this book. There are other reviews that have commented on the rape and infidelity being issues with them. If that is holdng you back, please know that the rape isn't graphic & there is very little violence in the entire book. As far as the infidelity goes, once you get to that point, you can completely see how and why that was inevitable before divorce proceedings could be entertained. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
