Aleister Crowley (1875-1947) was born Edward Alexander Crowley in Warwickshire, England. A mystic and magician, Crowley was best known for being an occultist, founding the religious philosophy of Thelema. I've never quite read a book like this before. The insight into the characters' minds is really unbelieveable. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand the struggle of drug-addiction.

A spectacular read. The book is a wonderful portrayal of the pyschology of the drug addict. Crowley does an excellent job creating several vivid and very believable characters that are sure to captivate the reader.
