Meet the Author

César Aira nació en Coronel Pringles en 1949, y reside en Buenos Aires desde 1967. Es novelista, dramaturgo y ensayista. Ha sido traducido y editado en Francia, Inglaterra, Italia, Brasil, España, México y Venezuela. Ejerce el oficio de traductor. Entre sus numerosos libros figuran: Ema, la cautiva (1981), La luz argentina (1983), La liebre (Emecé, 1991), La guerra de los gimnasios (Emecé, 1993), Cómo me hice monja (1993), Los misterios de Rosario (Emecé, 1994), La abeja (Emecé, 1996), El sueño (Emecé, 1998), La villa (Emecé, 2001), Varamo (2002) y El mago (2003). Publicó además Diccionario de autores latinoamericanos (Emecé-Ada Korn Editora, 2001), un esfuerzo monográfico excepcional.
