From Barnes & Noble
For former jockey "Foxy" Foxton, it was just another day at the races until his friend and coworker Herb Novak was slain execution-style in front of him and 60,000 other Grand National spectators. Novak's demise makes Foxton ponder some bigger questions, not least of which is whether his pal's murder had something to do with their company's risky investment practices. His search for answers propels him on a very risky venture of his own. Felix Francis' down-to-the-wire mystery shows that he is the rightful successor to his father Dick Francis' horse racing franchise.
