Description: This dictionary of terminology is used by health educators and those in related professions.
Purpose: According to the editors, this book focuses on definitions of terms and expressions specifically as they are applied to the principles of health education. Given this unique scope, they have met their stated objectives.
Audience: Primarily written for health education students, the dictionary also contains technical terms and expressions that health educators may find valuable as well.
Features: This dictionary centers around health terminology used by health educators and associated professions. Some definitions of terms and expressions are cross-referenced to others. Tables and illustrations are limited, but further clarify definitions. Given the complexity of some terms, the authors may wish to consider adding pronunciations to the dictionary and perhaps include a CD-ROM with audio pronunciations in future editions.
Assessment: This is a very easy to use health education dictionary. It is hoped the editors continue to refine this wonderful reference for future editions.
