So Much Better Than I thought It Would Be

This book definitely didn't look like much, but once it came in the mail and I looked through it I was like, WOW!
Ok, so if you're like me you're probably thinking this right now:
"This book was last updated in the 80s? Lame."
    "What's with the ugly cover?"
"Who the heck is J.P. Chaplin?"
The last one might be a stretch, 'cause apparently Chaplin was a pretty well known psychologist, but you get my picture.
However, I found that none of those get in the way of how good this dictionary is! It's a psychologist's dream reference with popular psychologists and theories, an abbreviations index, statistical formulas and more! It's more like encyclopedia entries, too, with long paragraphs explaining the important stuff. For example, the definition for 'brain' is 5 pages long, complete with a diagram of what areas of the brain control what (like vision, hearing, motor, etc).
There are very few pictures, and most of those are a picture of a graph to go with some mathy definition. But pictures aren't necessary anyways!
I got this book to help me in my AP psychology class, and boy has it helped already. I feel smarter just flipping through and reading about all the different psych stuff that happens, or can happen, in our brains! I've gone to the barnes and noble store and flipped through the oxford dictionary of psychology, and can still say that I like this one better. Plus, it's cheaper! I DEFINITELY recommend this baby!
