And this book is the ideal guide for making your diesel engine perform—adapting intake and exhaust, torque converters, engine electronics, turbochargers, and much more.

Diesel Performance for pickups and SUVs is an informative non-fi

Diesel Performance for pickups and SUVs is an informative non-fiction on the history, inner workings and repair of the diesel engine. The reader is guided through the book and all the necessary parts of the truck, from the engine its self to the emissions put off and trouble shooting the problems that may arise. This detailed account of the diesel engine and its up and coming importance in the transportation industry can assist any truck connoisseur or person just peaking their interest in the diesel performance to learn more about the effectiveness of this engine. Throughout this book the efficiency and ways to get the most fuel for your buck is displayed and examples of how to better ones miles per gallon are depicted. Picture examples of the engines are provided throughout the novel, which help increase the amount of information retained by the reader. These pictures are also helpful in understand the parts and over all working of the engine, a person seeking more information and knowledge about diesel trucks would find the investment of this book to be very beneficial. Many things can be learned about in home diagnostics, which can save money in the maintenance of the truck its self. This book is a little dry on the history of the diesel engine, I was hoping for more information on how the popularity shifted to the United States and the up and coming importance that these engines could have on society. The writing style found in the book is informative with an engaging set up. This is not a book that will put you right to sleep, the information is presented in an effective way that makes continuing to read a breeze and not a struggle. The author Ben Watson is able to make learning about the diesel engine an enjoyable and informative experience. I would give this book a four out of five stars.
