MUST READ BOOK!!! Alycia has once again built a storyline that promises to be every bit as awesome as The Elemental Preservers Series was. I loved the characters she has introduced us to, & the building of their personalities, & their interactions w/each other. I am usually pretty good at reading the characteristics of each individual in a storyline, & predicting how the story is going to end, but not this time. Alycia really threw a curveball at us w/the way the book ended. I am actually still in a bit of shock. Definitely a must sread. If you haven't read any of the books in The Elementa Preservers Series, I highly recommend reading them first. It's not necessary, but it will give you a clearer sense of some of the characters you will meet, & some of the events that happen in Different. Besides, The Elemental Preservers Srties is a REALLY GREAT read!!!!

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review from Goodreads This book is a fast spaced story full of action and suspense in an interesting world. I found the story to be really interesting. Especially the world, where it all takes place. A world in which everyone has one of the four elements, be it a pure one or a sub-element. Where a disease exists that can make ones desire for elements so strong that they won’t stop until they get it. And a secret organization that wants to capture all the people that have more than one element. The story proses fast, starting with a normal university student living her normal life and her discovering about having a second element, her worries and fears until she goes to an island where only the magic disease carriers live. Trying to protect her family and friends, not only from the organization, who hunts them, but also from others, who want revenge. And all along learning to use her powers and trying to understanding what is going on. And all this events take place in approximately 100 pages. The characters are nice and well developed. Moira is stubborn and does what she wants when she think it is the right thing. I like strong female characters who know what they want and are mentally strong and Moira is one of them. Noah is cute and nice but I didn’t like it that much, that he trusts Jaiden blindly, never goes against him, and always protects him, even when he does something wrong. Jaiden is kind of a tricky character. I can’t say I don’t like him, but I also can’t say I like him. He is a good and a bad guy in one, and that indeed I did like. In many stories they try to tell you who the good ones and who the bad ones are, but no one is only one of these, humans are both and I like it when book characters are also like that. I did miss a little more romance. It is obvious that Noah likes Moira, but she doesn’t seem to realize it or to care. I found it a little funny how he says little things like he missed her or when he hugs her, but she kind of doesn’t react at all, not even in a negative way. Just as if it was something normal. And it also seems, like Jaiden is flirting with Moira sometimes, but as she doesn’t react to it, I have no clue if it’s true. All in all, the story was enjoyable and I can recommend it to all fantasy elements book lovers.

First of all I love the cover. The book different is a spin off from the Element preservers series. I liked this book more than the first series because Moira an 18 year old girl comes off as a sweet girl and not only that, she is a strong heroin. What I liked a lot is that she has good relationship with parents. Moira is shocked one day when a blue fire erupts from her fingertips. Her element is air and this is not normal. Her mother is a scientist and has no idea what this could be. Her parents decide to ask the help of an old friend on the island Roivenna but coming to the island brings more surprises. She meets Noah who tells there are more of their kinds but they are being haunted. When her parents and their friends are ambushed she has to trust Noah so she can stay safe. They go in to hiding underground and Moira meets the rest of this group Jaiden leader of the group, Kenna his girlfriend, Sam and Marissa. Jaiden has some dark secrets that he’s hiding from his time captive at Elemontera the ones after them. Jaiden is very powerful and has some dangerous powers. I had moments I liked Jaiden but he was Ass a lot of times and to controlling. here’s some romance building between Noah and Moira but I feel there might be a love triangle coming in the next books. The book ended with a Cliffy and now I’m going crazy cause I need the next book now.

I received this book as an ARC copy from Goodreads. This book was a very interesting read. My only issue is feeling like this book was a sequel and not the first of this series. One of my favourite characters is Jaiden. I really like the mystery he represents. I especially LOVED the cliffhanger at the end. Looking forward to the next in this series!

I loved the first series and was a little weary of reading this one. But I truly enjoyed it. A spin off to the first series, a varieation off the original keeps it interesting. AND doesn't have the feel of "read that, nothing new" as some spin offs do.

I really dislike the main character, she is really annoying. She kind of ruined the book for me.
