Purpose: The intent is to address particular situations where small, subtle morphological details could be helpful in narrowing a differential diagnosis or to arrive at a final diagnosis. Side-by-side comparisons of both common and rare entities, as well as neoplastic and non-neoplastic entities are presented for each differential diagnosis.
Audience: The book is geared for both trainees and practicing cytopathologists, as well as general pathologists who sign out cytology specimens. The gynecological cytopathology chapter is especially useful for general pathologists, with multiple cytology images addressing commonly encountered neoplastic and non-neoplastic entities.
