Digital Design and Computer Organization
This text/CD-ROM package for students majoring in computer science, electrical engineering, and computer engineering introduces digital design as it is applied to the creation of computer systems, summarizing the tools of logic design and their mathematical basis and explaining combinatorial and sequential circuits. The text differs from traditional digital design texts by providing a complete design of an AC-based CPU, allowing students to apply digital design directly to computer architecture. The book makes minimal reference to electrical properties and is vendor independent, allowing emphasis on general design principles. The companion CD-ROM contains most of the circuits highlighted in the text. The author received a PhD in computer science and engineering from the University of Nebraska.
