A good value with practical information

It is difficult to find a good book on the nuts and bolts of digital electronics - this one is well worth the money. This book comes with two small, high quality, printed circuit boards for building a 5V power supply and a circuit for testing and learning about digital electronics. I have ordered the components to build the circuits. It would have been convenient if the author would have provided more detailed photos, drawings, and dimensions of the components. It took me several hours to search through component catalogs to find what I believe are necessary ones. Better yet, the option to buy the components would be a great time saver and I would not shame the author for making some extra profit with such an accessory. I did not yet find the book referenced on the author's web site. With that aside, I find the information in the book very practical and well presented. The author has significant experience and effectively shares it.
