Digital Empire: Electronica's Best

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - John Bush
A two-disc set of electronic dance assembled by the folks at K-Tel would seem to be an utter waste of time, but Digital Empire features 24 great tracks from several of the best names in the field. The Chemical Brothers, the Prodigy, Fluke, the Crystal Method, Underworld, Joey Beltram, Fatboy Slim and BT all make appearances, though not always doing their best-known tracks, and K-Tel even reaches back into the '80s to retrieve a certifiable techno classic, Derrick May's "Nude Photo" recorded as Rhythm Is Rhythm. Other solid contributions come from Propellerheads, Electric Skychurch, Headrillaz, Rabbit in the Moon and Frankie Bones.
