Gourmet and Easy Recipes for Everyone

Simple recipes that are tried and true, delicious and truly unique. Great recipes for tofu and tempeh which many people want to learn how to cook. Every recipe is enticing. I love the quick and easy style of the book and recommend it very highly.

    A Truly Delightful Cookbook

This book is terrific. Whether you are looking for simple or more elaborate meals that are free of animal products, this is a wonderful collection. My favorite is the guacamole, which is very easy to prepare and always draws compliments. There are recipes for all seasons, and even a section on preparing raw foods. It's nicely illustrated and has several appealing photographs so you can see exactly how recipes can be presented. I also enjoyed the bit of history on vegan dining.

    Food for the Whole Being

Warning: I'm no cook. My recipe book is mostly the phone numbers of restaurants that deliver. But - this is one of a very few cookbooks that I have actually used not just once, but many times. The first time was last summer when I had an excess of zucchini and tomatos from the garden - the sauce recipe in this book saved the veggies from composting in the fridg! This book has excellent, easy-to-follow recipes, nice layout and design, useful information on vegan and vegetarian choices, and - most importantly - a straightforward, tangible, joyful way for me to 'be the change I want to see in the world.' As someone who lives in a state where they are still shooting wolves from airplanes, believe me, I need all the hopeful, life-affirming choices I can get. These lovely recipes are all that. Bravo, Priscilla Feral.

    Irresistible Vegan Recipes--Artfully Presented

Never before has vegan cooking been made so accessible, attractive, and delicious! Not only are the recipes in Dining With Friends easy for even a beginner cook to follow and execute, the Forward, Introduction, and Glossary of the cookbook offer unique insights into ethical eating, and all it entails. It is clear that a lot of heart and soul went into creating this cookbook, and that is what makes it so special. You are not just getting a collection of recipes, but instead are getting the opportunity to expand your circle of compassion, and to put your ethics into action--in the kitchen, and beyond. For those taking the first steps toward a plant-based diet, I can't recommend this cookbook enough! The Gloassary containing Key to Ingredients, Nutrients, and Vegetarian Terms, Shopping Guide, and Suggested Cooking Equipment is invaulable, and meticulously presented.
