Meet the Author

Dr Cathy Alinovi didn’t plan to write a cookbook for pets, she just needed a way to help her clients feed their pets for lifelong health. What started as a few recipes turned into a masterpiece of delicious, thoughtful recipes – with her veterinary stamp of approval. Test tastings for the recipes were conducted in Dr Cathy’s kitchen and veterinary clinic.

Susan Thixton, the “Caped Crusader for Safe Pet Food,” has long wanted to write a cookbook for pets. Her goal was a colorful book full of nutritious, balanced recipes without the need for supplements. After meeting Dr Cathy, the two formed an instant team and have worked to bring safe home cooking to every household with dogs and/or cats.

I can't wait to try these recipes and see the difference real food makes for my dog.  The recipes do not seem to be complex at all, so I don't think it will be difficult to implement this.  Any concerns about a balanced diet (as mentioned by a previous review) were quickly alleviated in the "Variety, Variety, Variety" section of the book.
