Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Beth-Anne White
The Dino Detectives are having an adventure together at the fun park. This is a place they enjoy going to every year. But this year there is a new exhibit to visit, a haunted house! This scary new adventure with Dino Detectives Dot, Sara, Cory and Ty will have readers eagerly turning the pages to find out what happens next. This is a well-designed book for early readers and parents. There is a page to help parents or guardians to further engage the child in the book and make the book a fun tool for literacy growth. Each Dino Detective is introduced with a picture before the story begins so if the child has not read any Dino Detective books before they will know the characters. The illustrations are colorful and bright. The text is just one or two simple sentences per page. Early readers will have a good time decoding this book. Reviewer: Beth-Anne White; Ages 6 to 8.

Meet the Author

Anita Yasuda is the published author of children's books. She and her family live in Southern Ontario. When she is not writing, she is hiking with her dog Ted, playing tetherball or planning a new adventure.

Steve Harpster has loved to draw funny cartoons, mean monsters, and goofy gadgets since he was able to pick up a pencil. In first grade, he avoided writing assignments by working on the pictures for stories instead. Steve was able to land a job drawing funny pictures for books, and that's really what he's best at. Steve lives in Columbus, Ohio, with his wonderful wife, Karen, and their sheepdog, Doodle.
