About the Author

Chad is a graduate student at the University of Washington working towards a Masters in Teaching English to Students of Other Languages. From 2008 to 2013 he lived and taught English in Hamamatsu, Japan on the JET (Japan Exchange and Teaching) Program. In 2008 he was awarded the Jill Carlstrom Award for Japanese Studies at Whitman College, and in 2010 passed the most difficult level of the Japanese Language and Proficiency Test (N1) with a score of over 99%.
