All Music Guide - Tavia Hobart
This album includes songs from the hit movie -- both old favorites Bruce Channel's "Hey Baby"; "In the Still of the Night," from The Five Satins; and Mickey & Sylvia's "Love Is Strange" and recent ones Eric Carmen's "Hungry Eyes" and "[I've Had] The Time of My Life," performed by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes. "She's Like the Wind" is performed by Patrick Swayze, who played the male lead in the movie. While this may not be "the time of your life," as the album cover advertises, it is a fun collection.

    Free Spirited Dancing

A very fun and feel good soundtrack that will give you an emotional boost and leave you feeling happy. This cd is a wonderful medley of various songs from various genres that make you think of summer fun and carefree good times where you enjoy yourself and have fun with those you care about. The soundtrack has a wide range of good songs. Some of my favorite songs on the cd are "I've Had the time of My Life" by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warner, "Hungry Eyes "by Eric Carmen, and "She's like the Wind" by Patrick Swayze and Eric Fraser. What is really special about the "She's Like the Wind" song was something that it served as a special dedication from Patrick Swayze to his wife when he was still alive. I find this beautiful and heartwarming because it is obvious that the late Patrick Swayze and his wife shared true and lasting love because they were married from 1975 until this year when he passed away. If you are open to various musical genres that leave you feel free and energetic then please purchase this cd. This cd is one of the classics that only gets better with time.

Great Soundtrack to go with Great Movie

I watched the movie for the first time recently and I loved it. The music in the last scene when the two dance at the end-of-season dance, was so cool. It was running through my head long after the movie was over. Nothing like the music nowadays... That has become one of my fav movies. This soundtrack is the perfect compliment to it!

    Classic Forever

I have been watching this movie and listening to the music for years. I can still pinpoint exactly what is happening durring each song. Many movies make the music big, but in Dirty Dancing the movie would never have made it big w/out the music. I love this soundtrack and always will.

    Dirty Dancing Rules!

I love the Dirty Dancing sound track as much as the movie it has some of the best oldies on it. My favorite song is I've Had the Time of My Life it makes me cry every time I watch Jennifer Grey and Pratick dance at the end of the movie!
