Dirty Dealing, a true story, chronicles the rise and fall of the house of Chagra. When Federal Judge John "Maximum" Wood was gunned down outside his home in San Antonio, Texas in 1979 (the only assassination of a federal judge in more than 100 years) his death sent waves of shock across the country. Anyone in the Criminal Justice field, or thinking of entering this field should read this book as well as U.S. Customs Badge of Dishonor. These books give a painfully accurate view of the failure of the war on drugs at the expense of the human beings trying to fight this costly war.
