Overview

He’s the wildest guy in his band, but falling for a virgin groupie-in-disguise might be his craziest move yet.

Keyboardist West Reynolds’s idea of commitment? Going out for breakfast with a woman after a night of bed-breaking action. The only thing he gets serious about is Warning Sign, the band he formed with his two best friends. Then he meets a woman being hauled off by security, and she’s fascinated by him.

To her, he’s a subject to study. Like a bug under a microscope with a big…head.

Lauren Bryant is a student of psychology, and now she’s going in depth on rockstars. Specifically, fans. What makes a woman turn into a lust-driven groupie?

Is it the music?

The fame?

The men?

She isn’t sure, but she never expected to get her own night with a rockstar. One where he’s on top, doing some studying of his own…

She isn’t sure, but she never expected to get her own night with a rockstar. And she just figured out the ultimate way to get inside a subject is to let the subject inside you…

I am in serious love with West Reynolds, and I don't care who knows it... Okay, so, we all know that, if Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott write a book, I'm going to read it. These ladies and their hot rockers, man, I tell you what. Sizzling.Hot, every single time. DIRTY DUET, the ladies' latest release in their Found In Oblivion series, goes beyond everything that I expected to give me more, more, more. It only took me a hot second to fall in love with West. Keyboardist for the band Warning Sign, he's playful, talented, sexy as all get-out. But, more than that, his heart, y'all. Zapped by an immediate connection with the delightfully unfiltered and up-for-anything Lauren Bryant, West is all in before he knows it, and wouldn't have it any other way. Lauren has been sheltered by her protective and distant parents, and, now that she's fallen from grace, so to speak, she wants to experience everything. Originally on a quest to gather information for the project that will be the key to getting back into her parents' good graces, half an hour with West has her seeing him as much more than just data. Because he accepts Lo for exactly who she is, loving every zany thing about her that others have tried to change. She can be herself, and she just blossoms. I love all of the characters in the Found In Oblivion series, but West and Lo are my favorite yet (shhh, don't tell the others!). They just stole my heart, and I adore their story, and would LOVE to see much more of them in future (are you listening, Cari and Taryn?!). An absolute 5+-star read for me, I absolutely recommend this book, as well as all of Taryn's and Cari's books, for fans of the rockstar genre. And, while DIRTY DUET is part of a series, you don't have to have read the other books first (although, why wouldn't you?!). Grab this one and start reading. West and Lo will have your heart in no time.

This book was just ok for me I did like the characters, but needed better editing...lots of misspelled words and punctuation. That kind of stuff takes away from the flow of the story.

Wow, wow, wow. I am in love with West and that's after falling in love with so many of these fabulous authors' other characters. You can read this as a stand alone and it works as a starting point in the series, but knowing the other characters' lives and stories makes this over the top of awesomeness. West - keyboardist, willing to try anything crazy, the guy you shake your head at, but secretly want to be. Lauren - looking for where she fits and acceptance, but only excelling at failing (at least in her mind). Not the most likely of couples, but boy, do they work and bring out the best in each other. There are cameos by some of my favorite LIO universe peeps which just enriches the 'family' dynamic of these books. The sex scenes are not as raw as in other books, but there is meaning and definitely a connection. Highly recommend. The only downside was 1) it ended and 2) the version I reviewed does have more misspellings than normal. Hopefully, that will be corrected. Yes, I did receive an ARC in return for an honest review. I can honestly say these are some of my favorite authors and I recommend this book! Now let's get back on the bus for more adventures.

West Reynolds is the crazy keyboardist for the band Warning Sign. Lauren Bryant is a psychology student working on a paper about rock stars and groupies. West was originally fascinated with her when she was hauled off by security for "stalking" them in a previous book. Now she's back with disguises and following their tour up and down the West Coast. She drags her best friend Ethan along to all of the shows. At one show in Seattle, West notices her in the audience really getting into the show. He wasn't even on her radar as the "cutest" in the group, but then he singles her out and everything changes. She decides he's the perfect man to help her lose her pesky virginity. This was a great story and I loved seeing the updates from all of the other happily paired members of the group. I would recommend this book and the whole series to anyone.

West and Lauren's story is a whirl wind love story. Lauren has a cameo in the two previous Found in Oblivion books as the blond stalker West was curious to see again. They meet again at another concert, this time Lauren is in disguise. Loved West kindness and patience he has with Lauren and her corkyness. Must Read Series!!

Wow, I think Lauren and West are my favorite Warning Signal couple so far! The girls knocked this one out of the park this time. Lauren is so fun and fresh. Her honesty and willingness to jump in with both feet is refreshing. She's a feisty and strong character that stays true to herself. I love a character that's not a pushover. West is a sexy, wonderful match for the bookish yet adventurous Lauren. He treats her with tenderness and gentle care from the very beginning. For someone who could be jaded and guarded, he is open and free with Lauren from the very beginning. Sometimes angst is what you need, but other times it's just wonderful to fall into love sweetly with characters that truly seem meant for one another. This book is about love at first sight, finding that special someone and just not wanting to let go. It's about following your heart wherever it takes you. Reading this book reminded me of falling in love with my very own soulmate. It brought to mind all the passion and butterflies associated with the fall. That's a pretty good reason to read a book, in my opinion!

Contemporary story . Book 3 in the series. Hero is West . Heroine is Lauren . West is the keyboard player in the group . And Lauren has a few things to prove to her parents. This was a great read . I love these 2 authors writing together. The 2 characters it looks like are polar opposites but they fit together perfectly Lauren has been following the rock group (warning signs ) everywhere. She even got threatened by their manager stay away or else . Lauren needs to do a report so she is going to follow them still . On their next tour Lauren puts on a dark wig and goes with her childhood roommate (a mail . During the concert West (who likes to get the concert crowd involved ) who likes to go all out and wild . West decides to dare the ladies in the crowd to take their tops off . West then decides to jump into the crowd. That's where he spots Lauren. West gets passed around up high with the crowd. The singer in the band is getting antsy so he cuts it ..... but he pulls Lauren up on stage with the band . Lauren and West hit it up and Lauren goes on tour with the band . They are very open with each other . They both are falling for each other . Thing is both Lauren and West are hiding something from each other . West thing is big and starts to bring him down . He knows he has to end it with Lauren. Grab the story an find out

A rock keyboard player with a flair for the dramatic. A curvy young woman whose questions could put a sailor to shame! When the two meet, a magnetic chemistry develops leading to hilarious antics, steamy sheet aerobics and a fascinating read! Voluntarily read an ARC for an honest review.

Every rockstar romance from this writing duo has been a lot of fun so far, with just the right mix of drama, rock, and romance. Dirty Duet is no different, and it continues to amaze me how the characters from Cari and Taryn are always unique and interesting. In Dirty Duet, Lauren is out researching fandom and she's chosen Warning Sign as her research material. When West Reynolds crowd surfs out to her, and she whips off her shirt, well... game on. I really liked West. He was sensitive and caring although not too confident when it came to women. His backstory explains that quite well. Lauren on the other hand is a brash-mouthed straight-shooter that wants to experience it all. There's an insta-lust spark between these two that turns into something much more during the time Lauren is on tour with West. I loved Lauren. She's cute, funny and forward. She says what she means, and she's open to the experiences West brings to her. Some readers may find it hard to believe that she's still a virgin with the mouth she has (TG for Tumblr), but I found it believable that she hadn't had the opportunity to lose her v-card yet. Not everyone cashes that in early! Anyway, this was another in this series that I enjoyed and there are glimpses of characters from the other rock series from Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott that always makes it fun to read. If you are looking for a steamy, sexy falling-on-love story with not a whole lot of drama, Dirty Duet might be for you.

When you have two fantastic authors who have given you the best in rock romance you have high hopes when their next book comes out and Dirty Duet did not disappoint. Lauren was not the typical groupie. She had a mouth that was totally unfiltered which gave me some of the best laugh out loud moments. I also loved that she was a "normal" girl with a body that had all kinds of curves. It was those curves that she had on display at a Warning Signs concert after keyboardist, West, encouraged for tops to come off as he body surfed at one of their concerts. It was Lauren's curves that got West's attention while he was in the audience and he didn't want to miss the chance to see who this woman and was impressed by the way she looked like having fun. What else could he do but bring her onstage with him. There was just one little problem...Lauren was one step away from having a restraining order keeping her from getting 50 feet from the band! West was a tortured musician who had dealt with some pretty heavy stuff his whole life and some of the secrets weighed heavily on him. It was Lauren with her virginity and uncensored mouth that was beginning to make a change on West. These two couldn't be any more right for each other but would they realize that and admit it before it was too late? On a side note you may have seen that there have been comments about the errors in this book; DO NOT let this keep you from reading a fantastic rock romance by these two outstanding authors! Either way this is still a 5 star read. I received this book as an ARC for a freely given honest review.

This West & Lauren's story. He is keyboardist for up and coming band Warning Signs. She should be wearing a warning sign that says, I'm not a stalker, just a virgin doing research. He lives on a tour bus most of the time and she lives with her best friend. You would think these two have nothing in common, but as with any good duet - there is a spark that just needs a little bit of encouragement to become a full blown fire. This is a fun, quick read that has humor and romance and a dog named Bert! It's the perfect combination of dirty and funny and sweet and slightly gross (that tour bus, sheesh). Cari Quinn & Taryn Elliot make up a great duet and I look forward to continuing with this series.

Dirty Duet is the third book in Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott's Found in Oblivion series. Lauren, researching the groupie vibe for a college project, learns just what all the hubbub is about when she connects with West Reynolds, the keyboardist for Warning Shot. The story was a quick read, super sexy, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I did notice a couple of places where there were partial sentences, or misspelled words, but it wasn’t enough for me to put the book down. Also, the latter part of the book, the inevitable “break up so we can make up” part, seemed to be just stuck into the story. With no background / deep character development on West, it kind of came out of left field (though not really a surprise, I mean, hello – hot rock star). Again, not enough to detract from the story but in your face enough to note. Overall, really liked the story, and love these characters, but this wasn’t my favorite of the three books in the series so far.

DIRTY DUET is the third installment in Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott’s contemporary, adult FOUND IN OBLIVION rock star, romance series. This is keyboardist for the up and coming rock band Warning Sign, West Reynolds, and psychology student Lauren Bryant’s story line. The FOUND IN OBLIVION series is a spin off from Quinn and Elliott’s LOST IN OBLIVION series. Several characters from LIO and the authors’ HAMMERED series cross over and make cameo appearances for familiarity and cohesion. You do not have to have read the other series to follow or understand the events of DIRTY DUET. Dirty Duet can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Told from dual third person perspectives (Lauren and West) DIRTY DUET follows the building relationship between Warning Sign’s keyboardist West Reynolds, and Lauren Bryant. Lauren has been banned from getting too close to the band. Events from the previous few months found our heroine in stalker-mode as she struggled to get close to the fans, the groupies and the members of the band-all in the name of research. An innocent night spent with West Reynold’s finds our heroine on the road, and behind the scenes with a rock band, and a man with whom she will fall in love. The $ex scenes are intimate, exploratory and seductive. Our heroine is a virgin who quickly learns what it is she is willing to do for the man who will steal her heart. West Reynolds struggles with memories of the past; a broken home and a one-time girl friend who took from West all that he was. Lauren’s past finds our heroine battling her parents about her future, and her best friend about the path she has chosen to follow. A true book nerd, Lauren uses Tumblr as her answer to many of her sexual questions. All of the members of Warning Sign play secondary and supporting roles including Juliet Reece (Triple Trouble), Michael Shawcross and Chloe Adams (Bedded Bliss), former drummer Ryan Waters; bus driver Denver Casey; drummer Malachi Shawcross, and lead singer Molly. We are also introduced to Lauren’s best friend Professor Ethan Haywood –a man who may or may not have a romantic interest in our story line heroine. Ryan and Denver’s story line is next in Lost Lyric. The world building takes the reader behind the scenes and on the tour bus with the members of the band. We get up close and personal with their rituals and preparations on the road; their fans, their personality quirks, and the diva-like performances and actions of their leading singer. DIRTY DUET is a slow building story line; an encouraging and engaging tale of romance, love, heartbreak and pain. The premise is energetic; the characters are passionate and inspiring; the romance is provocative and sexy. DIRTY DUET is a playful and animated look at one man’s chance at a happily ever after.

I can always count on this author duo to combine the heat and the passion for music in their stories, and the latest Found in Oblivion rock star romance definitely showcases both. Lauren is researching what makes a groupie tick, and in doing so, finds herself in the perfect position to get an inside look when keyboardist West of Warning Sign brings her onboard for a close up look. I loved Lauren's unfiltered voice - she speaks her mind (including revealing to West right off the bat that she's a virgin) and comes across as a touch naive but sweet and focussed. West is usually a one night stand guy, but the thought of introducing Lauren to a host of sensual delights makes him want to keep her around as long as she's willing to stay. This is an insta-lust/insta-love story but hits all the right notes for me. Steamy sex scenes, backstage band drama and onstage close up views combine with a sweet romance to make this worth the read.

Another good book in this series. In this book, we get to see West take his shot at love. When he sees Lauren at a concert, he had no idea what he would get when he took her backstage. Lauren is a great heroine. She is honest and funny as hell. She has no filter and what she thinks comes out of her mouth. As she learns about West's world and about what being with West is about, she was a lot of fun to watch. Lauren comes into her relationship as a very naive person. After a few weeks with West, she knows what she wants and she isn't going to settle for anything less. I really enjoyed watching her character grow. West is a good guy with a few demons. He has to learn to put those demons to rest if he has a shot at a happily ever after. Loved catching up with this whole crew. It was a good read.

Absolutely amazingly Absolutely loved this book. West and Lauren both are trying to move on from their past. Lauren's no filter is absolutely refreshing and funny. West is great. I love this relationship and the fact that you see what is going in the band and everything is tied and you see other characters from other series. Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliot have again made you want more and you can't put this book down. Can't wait for the next book in this series.

When Lauren and West come together in this hot, sexy, warm and funny story you won't be able to put it down. Lauren makes you laugh and West will make you sigh. Together with the other Warning Sign members Michael, Ryan, Mal, Molly and Julie you appreciate the bonds and loyalties these band members have for each other. These two authors know how to keep delivering delicious rock star romance! If you like Rockstar romance don't miss this series.

The Found In Oblivion series started off with a great book, Bedded Bliss, and it continues with West and Lauren’s story. I don’t know how Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliot do it but they just keep writing such fun, sexy and Inventive stories. Lauren hit a soft spot with me. Both, Lauren and West have issues in the past (who doesn’t) but for Lauren – she never seem to fit in. Her quirky nature seemed to put most people off and kept them at a distance. She felt the problem was hers. Turns out maybe she just hadn’t found the right peeps. I think that feeling is shared among many of us. This happy and fun couple learn to cope with bleak past issues all the while falling in love. They find comfort and belonging together. And have a whole lot of fun on their way.
