PART ONE OF JUNE GRAY'S DISARM SERIES

Even the deepest secrets always find a way to surface...

Twenty-six-year-old Elsie Sherman has had a crush on her brother's best friend, Henry Logan, since she was twelve years old. Unfortunately, Henry has only ever treated her like a younger sister, stepping into her brother's shoes after he was killed in action.

That is, until one night, when one dance ignites a sensual fire between the two, leaving Elsie aroused and confused. Is she allowed to lust after her surrogate big brother who also happens to be her roommate? But Henry, an Air Force officer, has been harboring two secrets—one will bring them together and the other will tear them apart—and it is up to Elsie to decide if their relationship is worth fighting for.

Don't miss Besiege, part two of the Disarm series!

Meet the Author

June Gray is a daydreamer who, at the age of ten, penned a short story inspired by a Judy Blume novel and has been unable to stop writing since. She loves to tell stories that titillate and enrage, that break the reader’s heart and put it back together again.

Her fairy-tale life has been lived on four different continents—most recently, in a two-hundred-forty-year-old castle in rural Germany owned by a Graf. She was born in the Philippines, raised in Australia, and now calls the United States home, and she can currently be found enjoying the shores of Miami with her husband, two daughters, and a miniature schnauzer.

Her Disarm series includes: Disarm, Besiege, Retreat, The Henry Sessions, Engage, and Capture.

    Mini book

Could be a wonderful book, more like a short story. You just get started and clifhanger book ends so ypu must buy the next book. At this rate it will cost $20 to read the whole thing. PLEASE finish the book and combine all your chapters, if you would like to win readers and sales this is not the way .

Please read the "novelette" before forming an opinion.

Please read the "novelette" before forming an opinion. This is not just a chapter or a few pages from a book. This is a complete story with a beginning, middle and end. It's short, sure, but it's a full story. And it is seriously full! I've never read a story where I connected with the characters so deeply adn felt emotional. Obviously, I'm not the only one who feels this way. There is no cliffhanger. He goes to war. This is established in the very firs t chapter.

At $1, this story is a steal. In fact, for how wonderful the characters and the story are, June Gray is not charging nearly enough. There are six installments planned, so by the time you finish, you'll have paid $6 for a full-length word novel. And for a storyl like this, that is well-written and is just SO GOOD, I would gladlky fork over my money.

For others wondering if they're getting "ripped off" please try the sample first. See if you like the writing style or the characters, before one-starring something you've never even read. You may be surprised to learn there's a reason these novelettes are getting so much attention.

This story was a great read.... it took me a few pages to really get involved in the story and then it happened.... I felt the characters come to life and it stirred something great in me... The story trails along quiet quickly as it is a Novelette as the Author likes to call it... but you feel all the great emotion the story has to offer... I even dropped a few tears.... Do yourself the favour and buy it today... the sequel is due out shortly....

    Love this series!

I loved this series so much I read all the books in two days! Warning for anyone who reads while commuting on mass transit: unless you are not shy about crying in public, I would recommend reading this in pivate. The man next to me on the train definately was giving me funny looks while I was practically bawling! So excited for the next book!

    loved it

i know this is a short story or some type of series novel but each one cost me $2 & after buying all 5 series it cost me a total of $10 which i have no problem with unlike other reviewers! this obviously shows you that the author keeps you in suspense if you buy the next novel to begin with, but i must say i love disarm. being that im in the u.s.navy, and is going on deployment soon, sometimes i feel the same way about my loved ones & leaving them behind. it may be hard but we all get threw it in our own ways! great novel, i did not want to put my nook down

Too Bad she didn't put it in a whole book

Her series is OK, but I would have preferred a whole book.

As a former soldier and Army wife, I understood all the emotions Elsie was feeling. What a great story so far. I look forward to the next ones.

This novelette really drew me in fast. After reading I immediately purchased the remaining books in the series. If something short isn't for you then I recommend doing that. Even buying all the books is still inexpensive and more than worth it. The characters really grab you and make you want more.
